Setup tells you what's wrong, and always has a way out:

  • Home Assistant sign-in checks your address first, and says if nothing answers (or the certificate isn't trusted) instead of opening the browser on an error page.
  • Not sure of your Home Assistant address? Setup tells you where to find it.
  • Cancel on every "Checking…" screen.
  • Back in the middle of setup starts it over instead of closing the app.
