FinEngine v0.3.0 — Initial Open-Source and Computational Release

FinEngine is a documentation-first JavaScript financial engine designed for deterministic calculations, ledger validation, and client-side privacy without backend dependency.

This v0.3.0 release formalizes the core computational foundation, monorepo packages, interactive simulation lab, and institutional methodology backed by the Centre for Fintech and Strategic Business Research (CFSBR).

Published Package Surfaces (v0.3.0)

  • @finengine/core (Validation Kernel):

    • Deterministic IEEE-754 floating-point error mitigation.
    • Localized BDT currency sub-unit precision and formatting rules.
    • Balanced debit and credit ledger validation primitives for audit-safe workflows.
  • @finengine/math (Calculation Engine):

    • Reducing-balance loan amortization algorithms.
    • Exact APR, XIRR, and fee ladder calculations.
    • Client-side debt burden ratio (DBR) stress testing.
  • @finengine/ui (Display Models):

    • Micro-components and financial KPI generators (makeMoneyKpi, makeRepaymentSummary).
    • Amortization schedule previews and learning cards for product surfaces.

Live Product Surfaces and Simulation Lab

  • Dedicated Simulation Lab: Standalone repayment simulators for Student Study Financing, SME Working Capital, and Merchant Restock Float.
  • Multi-Page Documentation: Architecture guides, runnable examples, and package APIs at https://finengine.js.org.
  • Offline and Private: 100% browser-safe execution with zero external analytics or ledger transmission.

Academic and Methodology Specification

The computational methodology, floating-point heuristics, and localized financial engineering standards for this release are formally archived and cited under Crossref:

  • Methodology DOI: https://doi.org/10.67226/cfsbr.fe.2026.001.v1
  • Document Type: CFSBR Technical Working Paper (CFSBR-FE-2026-001)
  • Author: Md Golam Mubasshir Rafi
  • Institution: Centre for Fintech and Strategic Business Research (CFSBR)

Future Package Roadmap (RFCs in Progress)

  • @finengine/risk: Altman EM Z-score, DSCR and ICR stress testing, NPL proxy modeling.
  • @finengine/microfinance: Flat-rate vs. declining-balance transparent burden translation.
  • @finengine/ratios: Financial statement ratio stacks and 3-step / 5-step DuPont analysis.
  • @finengine/markets: DSE portfolio variance and capital market return helpers.
  • @finengine/tax: NBR-compliant TDS/VDS and salary tax calculation primitives.

Quickstart

npm install @finengine/core @finengine/math @finengine/ui
import { amortize } from '@finengine/math';

const plan = amortize({ principal: 500000, annualRate: 13.5, months: 36 });
console.log(plan.monthlyPayment);
