breaklint 0.9.0 adds two opt-in figure checks and clearer navigation in human reports. figure/caption-separated checks supported single-body figures; figure/dangling-reference checks supported local figure links. Both start as warnings, are off by default and remain uncalibrated. Unsupported or ambiguous candidates are counted as declined.

Console, Markdown and HTML reports show up to three deterministic next checks and counted decline reasons while keeping every finding and canonical JSON. Snapshot stamp 6 adds an optional authored figure inventory; legacy snapshot stamp 5 remains readable for existing checks. When the authored figure inventory is unavailable, figure checks are reported as declined, never as clean. Report stamp 5, context-pack stamp 2 and configuration stamp 1 are unchanged.

This release does not establish a complete figure/numbering model, product-wide precision or recall, semantic whitespace diagnosis, or calibration. Existing limitations and strict exit codes remain explicit. The report sight review is delegated AI evidence from Claude Opus 5.5, kept separate from the human-only gate; it is not provider authentication or independent proof of perception.

Known boundaries: under the strict profile, the figure rules can change an unchanged document from exit 0/1 to exit 4 when the authored figure index or supported image body cannot be established. This includes non-image figures, source mapping disabled, and conservative refusal of sources containing script/base/event-handler constructs. The default profile does not enable these rules. Local figure links are checked against authored id attributes; legacy <a name> targets are not supported. Some human coverage summaries can count outside-coverage declines alongside the measured-candidate denominator; canonical JSON retains the separate accounting. These are accepted, disclosed limitations, not claims of complete figure support.
