Describe the project you are working on

prototypes

Describe the problem or limitation you are having in your project

blend files have has a regular scene icon, which can make them hard to find at a glance.

Describe the feature / enhancement and how it helps to overcome the problem or limitation

I don't know if it could show the blender thumbnail (or when thumbnails are fixed, the thumbnail of the imported asset) but regardless of that, it would be nice to use the blender icon (a monochrome version I assume) as icon for blend files.

Describe how your proposal will work, with code, pseudo-code, mock-ups, and/or diagrams

If this enhancement will not be used often, can it be worked around with a few lines of script?

used often

Is there a reason why this should be core and not an add-on in the asset library?

small ux improvement

This makes sense, but I'm not sure if there's a way to override an icon for a given resource type based on its extension. The .blend file is still considered a PackedScene after all, so it gets the same icon as all other PackedScene resources.
