LayoutLens 3.0.0
LayoutLens 3.0.0 makes before/after UI comparison a local, replayable operation. Capture browser evidence, save versioned artifacts, and compare element geometry, styles, text, and layout relations without an API key.
- Structured
VisualDeltarecords include measured changes, detector evidence, and candidate DOM/CSS/source-map/git causes. - Observations, candidate findings, recorded verification, and independently qualified CI gates are distinct. Unqualified layout candidates warn by default;
policy="findings"explicitly enables strict blocking. Incomplete comparisons never report a passing gate. - Capture/diff commands, MCP tools, pytest regression assertions, and SARIF baseline status expose the same evidence.
- Batch judging uses batchlane with durable manifests and crash-safe resume.
This is a breaking release. Python 3.12+ is required, and compare(before, after) now returns DiffReport. The old screenshot-list comparison API and Gemini extra have been removed. See the migration guide.
Validation includes 365 local tests, installed-wheel and consumer tests, Linux Docker checks, independent core/batch/README reviews, and CI across Python 3.12–3.14 on Linux, macOS, and Windows. Chromium capture remains the supported browser; no rules ship with qualifying independent precision evidence.
