v0.9.33
CE Decky 0.9.33
Updates now show what a new version changes before you install it, and your cheats keep the values you set.
New
- The update window shows what a new version changes before you press Update.
Fixes
- Load last table & cheats no longer writes last session's number back into a cheat you never switched on, such as a level or experience value.
- A value you set for a cheat that is off no longer jumps back to what the game holds; where the two differ, the game's own number is shown beside it as Current.
- A script's setting, such as a jump multiplier, takes effect while that script runs; any other cheat's value is applied when you switch that cheat on.
- Emptying a value and pressing Apply forgets it, and the row shows what the game holds again.
- CE Decky offers its updates once a day to everyone who opens its panel, not only after a table search.
Install
Close any running game, then update from the CE Decky panel. If the panel does not offer it, open Advanced…, then Plugin updates, and press Check now. On Decky Loader 3.3.0 that needs 0.9.30 or later installed: an older version cannot reach the network there, so turn on Developer mode in Decky and install CE-Decky-v0.9.33.zip from the file. Your tables, authorizations and profiles are kept.
Requires Decky Loader 3.2.8+, Proton, ~230 MB free. Offline and single-player games only.

v0.9.32
CE Decky 0.9.32
Lets more non-Steam games, and games on a Proton your Linux distribution installed, start Cheat Engine.
Fixes
- Some non-Steam games running under Proton could not start Cheat Engine: Advanced said "Proton not observed" and Load table & start CE said the game was not running.
- A game running under a Proton your Linux distribution installed, such as
proton-cachyoson CachyOS, can start Cheat Engine instead of failing with "no installed Proton tool matches". - Cheat Engine stops by itself shortly after the game closes. It could stay attached, with the game still shown as running and Change unavailable, until you pressed Stop CE.

CE Decky 0.9.31
Fixes cases, in some tables, where a cheat stayed on or came back after you switched it off, or where Load last table & cheats failed; Auto-load also gives a game time to load before it starts.
Fixes
- In tables that keep a script's own switches outside it, switching that script on no longer leaves them on without saying so, from the panel, in Configure cheats or at Auto-load.
- Disable all also puts back a cheat that showed off but was still active in the game, and a cheat it switched off no longer comes back at the next Auto-load.
- Load last table & cheats no longer fails because of a value set for a cheat that was off, or a setting inside a script that stays off.
- A script cheat with settings, such as jump or health, stays on while you switch other cheats; switching a script off switches off everything under it.
- A cheat inside a script that has not run yet can be switched on, in Configure cheats and from a pinned cheat.
- A table is no longer said to be written for a different build of the game when the game closed or every pattern it looks for is there, and a working table gets its green check.
- No more "Cheat Engine could not be launched" after a game exits or crashes with Cheat Engine attached.
Changed
- Load last table & cheats waits until the game has been running for 10 seconds, and counts the wait down, so a table is not marked as not working because the game was still loading.
- Configure cheats opens with every cheat collapsed, and lists under Scripts only the scripts that hold other scripts.
Install
Close any running game, then update from the CE Decky panel. On Decky Loader 3.3.0 that needs 0.9.30 installed: an older version cannot reach the network there, so turn on Developer mode in Decky and install CE-Decky-v0.9.31.zip from the file. Your tables, authorizations and profiles are kept.

v0.9.30
CE Decky 0.9.30
Decky Loader 3.3.0 broke CE Decky's network access. It moved Decky's built-in Python from 3.11 to 3.14 and left out a standard module, pathlib.types, that CE Decky's networking library needs. On Decky Loader 3.3.0 Search finds 0 tables in every source, no table can be downloaded, and CE Decky cannot check for or install updates. This release supplies that module. If you are on Decky Loader 3.2.8, you were not affected.
Fixes
- Search, downloads and CE Decky's own updates work again on Decky Loader 3.3.0.
- On Decky Loader 3.3.0, a table library, session or running Cheat Engine that CE Decky cannot read is reported as unreadable, instead of looking empty or stopped.
Install
On Decky Loader 3.3.0 an installed 0.9.29 or older cannot reach the network, so it will not offer this update. Turn on Developer mode in Decky, install CE-Decky-v0.9.30.zip from the file, then open the Quick Access Menu. Your tables, authorizations and profiles are kept.
On Decky Loader 3.2.8 an installed 0.9.28 or newer can install this from the panel itself; close any running game first.
Requires Decky Loader 3.2.8+, Proton, ~230 MB free. Offline and single-player games only.

v0.9.29
New
- Review tells you when a table looks for code that is not in your copy of the game, and which pattern it is, so a table that would load and then do nothing is something you find out before you agree to it. It is checked only where CE Decky already knows which program the game runs, and a table that looks inside one of the game's other files is checked there too.
- Review also tells you when a pattern matches more than one place in your copy of the game. Cheat Engine picks any one of them, so a cheat built on that pattern can end up changing the wrong code - on a table that otherwise looks perfectly fine.
- Review tells you when a table is signed, and that Cheat Engine refuses those here, before you start a game to find out. One press makes a copy without the signature and opens it for review, so you agree to the bytes that actually get loaded; rows carrying a signature are marked, and a copy CE Decky made says which table it came from.
- That same press also takes out the code that needs a pattern your copy of the game does not have, and a table with both problems is fixed in one copy rather than two. The copy's review says what was removed and whether any cheat went with it. If a table you already agreed to turns out not to work, the question about it now offers to try a repaired copy before offering to stop using it, and says so plainly when no repaired copy can be made.
Changes
- CE Decky updates itself only while no game is running. It still tells you about an update during a game, but pressing Update then asks you to close the game first. An update that finishes downloading after you started a game waits for it to close before installing.
- A cheat that is simply on or off is a switch now, with no value to choose and no field to fill: for one real table that is 24 switches in place of 48 controls. Switching one off writes its off value, so the cheat really stops. A cheat that does choose between things shows its list alone, with a box for a value the author did not list one press away.
- Panel messages start with what was found rather than with what CE Decky was doing, so the reason is the part you can read without opening the row.
Fixes
- Stopping Cheat Engine leaves the game as it was found. Cheats are switched off first, so a game no longer keeps running with the changes a stopped Cheat Engine made and could no longer undo. If one will not switch off, CE Decky says which, and Home asks you to restart the game before a table is started in it again, with Clear for when you already have.
- Stopping Cheat Engine with Auto-load on no longer starts it straight back. Auto-load stays switched on and waits for the next run of the game; starting a table yourself, or switching Auto-load on again, starts it sooner.
- Switching Auto-load on while the game is running starts the table right away, rather than only after the panel was closed and opened again.
- Switching on one cheat no longer brings the rest of the table with it. A table's script can declare most of its own flags as on, so one cheat could quietly mean damage multipliers and movement speed as well; now those are switched back off, and Review says up front how much the table turns on by itself. A flag whose code could not be proven to survive being switched off is left on rather than risk the game, and the panel names it so you can switch it off yourself.
- A game whose executable is very large declares its version again, so its tables can reach the green compatibility mark instead of staying on the grey one. A table already proven here keeps its current mark until a cheat from it works once more.

v0.9.28
Features
- CE Decky updates itself: when a new release exists the panel shows an orange Update to vX.Y.Z button, and one confirmation installs it. Switch it off under Advanced → Plugin updates.
- The panel mascot can be hidden: Advanced → Panel appearance.
Fixes
- Moving between this version and an older one no longer loses the registered Cheat Engine.
- A deletion the backend refuses no longer clears panel state, and Delete everything now also forgets the game you picked by hand.
Install
Turn on Developer mode in Decky, install CE-Decky-v0.9.28.zip from the file, then open the Quick Access Menu. Your tables, authorizations and profiles are kept.
From this release on, the next update can be installed from the panel itself.
