Windows operating systems older than Windows 7 have been out of support for several years and are not supported by Gridcoin.

gridcoinresearch.pro#L10,15 should be updated as well. Could you also move WIN32_LEAN_AND_MEAN and _WIN32_IE to configure.ac? |

I can do that, but we haven't been updating gridcoinresearch.pro in a while. I keep my own local version (not in git) because the original is so bad. I don't think you can actually build from that with Qt. I only get the .pro file straightened out enough to have the editor be able to parse correctly, and I replace the qmake based build steps with the autotools ones.... Noone is supposed to be building the application with the Qt build system. That is not supported. |

On the Win32 lean and mean stuff, I do not want to tinker around too much more with this prior to the 5.3.2.0 release. We are really supposed to be in a freeze, because we are in RC territory. This PR is to correct corner-case bad behavior on old operating systems. Unless you are saying we need to do that now, I would like to put that in a separate PR for Janice. (You can submit if you have time.) |
