`edit-command-line` binding problems in vi-mode

I'm using grml-zsh-config from Arch repo grml-zsh-config 0.16.1-1.

ESC-e: Edit the current line in$EDITOR works in emacs mode but not in vi mode.

Thanks for the reply! Would you be so kind to provide some tips on how I should trouble shoot this issue since It doesn't work for me either in normal mode or insert mode. Thanks, Alvin

bindkey -M viins '\ee' Should print: "^[e" edit-command-line If it doesn't, something is rebinding this on your system. The binding is not available in vicmd (normal mode) at the moment. Typing Escape quickly followed by e should trigger it. On most termi- nals, "Alt-e" also emits that sequence of bytes. Not on all, though. Type "Ctrl-v Alt-e" to have zsh print the sequence it sees instead of trying to call the bound widget. If this doesn't work, we need more details of what you're doing precise- ly, what software is involved (terminal, terminal-multiplexers etc), what byte sequences are emitted by your key presses.

Moved the issue to grml-etc-core, which contains our zsh configuration.

Setting KEYTIMEOUT=20 solved my problem, I guess I just have slow fingers lol.
