Jellypal v0.3.1
v0.3.1
- pals: bond-gated abilities — bonded pals fetch lost jelly sparkles back
to the pet (+2 jelly), run trait chores (drip pals water the plant,
spark pals overcrank the music box, glint pals polish the mirror),
and rush to comfort a dizzy, pouting, or crying pet - pals: quiet mode — ambient antics pause while your cursor is active
or an editor is focused; new observational beats (settle beside the
pet, sit-together, signature audience, copycat, hover head-tilt) - content: sakura (April) + drizzle (Jun 15 – Jul 15) seasonal species;
new dex milestone at 62 - gacha: the x10 result sheet now labels the "1 RARE+ GUARANTEED" pity
- macOS: App Store groundwork under the hood (zero-network SKU,
StoreKit IAP scaffold) — no behavior change for this build
Jellypal v0.3.0
v0.3.0 — passive drip economy, zero permissions
The typing-to-earn mechanic is gone — Jellypal now asks Windows and macOS for no permissions at all.
- Removed: global keyboard listener (rdev), macOS Input Monitoring prompt, clipboard combo watch. The app reads no keys, no screens, no other apps.
- New economy: +3 jelly every 5 minutes while the app is open, ~2% of ticks land a LUCKY DROP +30. XP now flows from drips and snacks.
- Presence: cursor motion keeps the slime awake (was typing); it naps 5 min after you step away.
- Species: jelly-hungry slimes (Sprout/Mochi/Bites/Bean/Mecha + hybrids) munch on lucky drops; snack crumbs fall from treats.
- Click-through gesture protection kept — button state is polled, not tapped.
- Site: live drip demo replaces the typing demo; zero-permissions is now a feature card.
SHA-256 in the site's download section.
Jellypal v0.2.18
v0.2.18
- macOS: real transparency ??the overlay no longer paints a white screen
(enables the macOS private webview API that makestransparentwork) - macOS: auto-hide Dock reserve ??slimes and the jelly button no longer
get covered when the Dock slides in - click reliability: hitbox refresh 250ms -> 80ms + larger grab padding
- slime bodies: more translucent jelly center, opaque rim stays
Jellypal v0.2.17
v0.2.17
- New installs start with 500 jelly (was 100) ??a full 10-pull first session
- Passive jelly drip: +1 every 5 minutes while the app runs
- macOS now asks for Input Monitoring on first launch (with a launch nag until granted) ??typing earns jelly again on Mac
- macOS dmg keeps the embedded Fix-Jellypal.command + README FIRST.txt; site has a zero-warning Terminal install line
Jellypal v0.2.16
v0.2.16
- macOS dmg now ships Fix-Jellypal.command + README FIRST.txt inside ??unsigned apps report "damaged" under browser quarantine, so the cure sits next to the app (or run
xattr -cr /Applications/Jellypal.apponce) - Redeem box accepts store license keys (Gumroad) ??passed through to the shop server; offline failures report SERVER BUSY instead of judging the key
- Shop copy updated for the license-key flow
Jellypal v0.2.15
v0.2.15
- Ball can be put away: drag it to the top PUT AWAY slot (gentle release only ??a hard fling sailing through won't pocket it)
- Pet status card now has the GEAR row too ??the pet can wear accessories (shared with same-species pals) and was impossible to see or unequip
- Pet card is taller (274px) and the accessory picker modal works on it
v0.2.14
Platform lifecycle + modal input + quit-save race fixes. Furniture/eggs on closed windows re-anchor instead of hovering; cancelled grabs drop the pet instead of leaving it mid-air; settings/gem-shop outside clicks now dismiss (clicks no longer leak to apps underneath); quit flushes the save.
v0.2.13 - social lifecycle hardening
v0.2.13 — social lifecycle hardening
Bug-hunt pass on the pal social systems from v0.2.11:
- Ghost ties severed: sending a pal home or culling a species now clears every reference other pals hold — chat partner, follow leader, tag target, totem mount, nap-pile host. Previously a removed pal could leave an invisible drag-target or one-sided gossip.
- Hidden pals stay hidden: pals inside the box no longer make decisions, get bumped by passers-by, get chased in tag, or get launched by the music box while invisible.
- Grab clears everything: picking up a pal drops its errand claim and hangs up both sides of an active chat; its followers and taggers drop off immediately.
- Follow sanity: a pal stops trailing a leader who hopped to another platform (used to pace the edge until the timer ran out).
- Greetings are polite: pals no longer interrupt a friend's prop errand for a chirp, which used to leave a stale goal.
- Test suite: +4 lifecycle regression tests, deterministic RNG pinning — 13/13 across 8 consecutive runs.

"v0.2.12"
What's fixed
Pals vanishing behind furniture — placed props drew after the slime pass, so a pal strolling through a prop's spot was swallowed by the sprite (the main pet too). Furniture now renders as scenery behind the slimes, so nobody disappears mid-walk. Cushion naps still squash the puff.

"v0.2.11"
What's new
Sleep fix — the pet could flash open-eyed faces mid-nap (star eyes from background gem rewards, content face from pal bumps). Sleeping now outranks every cosmetic expression timer; only deliberate wakes (being grabbed, window drags, a thrown landing) override it.
Pal social life — companion slimes now interact with each other:
- gossip — two idle pals face off and trade ♪/♥/HEH speech bubbles
- nap piles — a pal spots a dozing buddy and flops down beside it
- follow the leader — one pal trails another around for a while
- copycat hops & mood contagion — laughter spreads
Treat dinner bell — throwing a snack used to leave pals standing around for seconds. Now every awake pal reacts the instant it's thrown, races when it lands, mid-stroll pals divert to join, and even gossiping pals drop the chat for a cookie.
Sleeping and hidden pals stay put through all of it — no sleepwalking.
