Create a Guide/Template: Research Plan

Overview

We need to create a guide for research plan so that people can use them

Action Items

• Gather examples of how other Hack for LA projects or volunteers have done this (if applicable), adding each example as a link in the resources section below
  • Once done, remove the "Guide: Gather Examples" label and add the "Guide: Research" label
• Research existing information about [name of item] in [relevant resources, articles, etc.]
  • Once done, remove the "Guide: Research" label and add the "Guide: Draft Guide" label
• Create a draft guide, either in markdown format in this issue or a google doc in the ux/ui google drive
  • Once done, evaluate if the guide requires a template. If it does then
  • if yes, remove the "Guide: Research" label and add the "Guide: Draft Template" label
    • Create a draft template (its been started ) but needs reformatting to have a place for the project to put their logo, page numbers, name of document, etc. See one sheets for example. #488
      • Once done, remove the "Guide: Draft Template" label and "Guide: Draft Guide" label
• Revise the guide by editing to include the link to the template and remove any duplicative content
  • Once done, remove the "Guide: Draft Guide" label and add the "Guide: Review Guide" label
• Review the guide with UX/UI community of practice
  • Once done, remove the "Guide: Review Guide" label and add the "Guide: Leadership Review" label
• Present to the Hack for LA leadership team for sign off
  • Once approved, remove the "Guide: Leadership Review" label and add the "Guide: Place Guide" label

1. Progress: "What is the current status of your project? What have you completed and what is left to do?"
2. Blockers: "Difficulties or errors encountered."
3. Availability: "How much time will you have this week to work on this issue?"
4. ETA: "When do you expect this issue to be completed?"
5. Pictures or links* (if necessary): "Add any pictures or links that will help illustrate what you are working on."

• remember to add links to the top of the issue if they are going to be needed again.

Hello and good afternoon, Thank you for reaching out. I’ve been ill for the past few weeks and I’m finally recovering and catching up on emails. I completely forgot to notify H4LA that I was sick. I sincerely apologize for any confusion. I’m currently revising the guide. I don’t have any blockers as of yet, but will update if I run into any.
