Hack for LA Onboarding Events

Find events

Help with onboarding

  • If you want to help with onboarding, reach out in the #admin Slack channel
  • Several people at hack for LA run the onboarding and help new members through the process
    • There is a calendar invite for the panelists for the second half of the onboarding

How often is it held

  • The onboarding event is held approximately every two weeks

What does the onboarding entail

  • The event is split up into two parts, the first being a webinar. The webinar service is provided by Civic Tech Structure.

How to start the onboarding

  • log into 1Password
  • Go to the HfLA Onboarding - admin vault
  • Log into the Gmail account into a separate profile
  • Log into the Zoom from the Gmail

How to join as a panelist (if you want to attend the first half of onboarding, optional)

All the panelists from 2022 have been invited to be panelists for 2023

  • Go to your email and search for Panelist for Hack for LA Onboarding
  • Make sure you are opening the email with the links for the event for the current day. If you do not see the invite, reach out to us on the #admin slack channel

How to join as a co-host (2nd half of onboarding, mandatory for a CoP representative)

  • Sign into the meeting
  • Use the 'Reactions' menu at the bottom of the screen to 'raise your hand'. This will let the host know that you need to be made a co-host.
