Install

This build is for Apple silicon Macs (M1 or later) on macOS 11 or later.

  1. Download Stand-0.1.1-macos-arm64.zip.
  2. Unzip it and move Stand into Applications.
  3. Open Stand. macOS will say Apple could not verify it is free of malware. Click Done.
  4. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway. Confirm with your password or Touch ID.
  5. Open Stand again. It lives in the menu bar. Closing the settings window leaves it running. Quit is in the menu bar.

If Open Anyway is not there, run this in Terminal, then open Stand:

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Stand.app

What changed

  • Stand has an app icon, and the same mark sits in the menu bar next to the countdown.
  • The settings window uses that icon, and the sentence under the title wraps inside the window.
  • During a break the cover shows one countdown. The settings window steps aside so it does not show through the veil.
