kwprocessor generates keyboard walks from a keymap, a set of base characters and a route.

Base characters

Every layout in the keymaps folder ships a base-character file now, holding exactly the characters that layout can reach. 13 keymaps had none and had to fall back on full.base: colemak, de, dk, dvorak, en-gb, en-us, es, fi, fr, it_mac, jp, pt and sv.

full.base covers ASCII and most of Latin-1, which is enough for a Latin layout apart from the few keys it leaves out. A Danish, Finnish or Swedish keyboard reaches the currency sign, the acute accent, the diaeresis and the one-half fraction, and pt.keymap reaches the cruzeiro sign. A walk starting on any of those only appears with the layout's own file.

tools/kwp2base.py writes the file for a keymap, so a keymap you write yourself gets one the same way:

$ ./tools/kwp2base.py keymaps/en-us.keymap
`1234567890-=qwertyuiop[]\asdfghjkl;'zxcvbnm,./~!@#$%^&*()_+QWERTYUIOP{}|ASDFGHJKL:"ZXCVBNM<>?

Every file in the basechars folder is that script's output on the keymap beside it, the ones generated for v2.0.0 included.

Swedish and Finnish

Sweden and Finland use the same physical keyboard, and each of the two keymaps held keys the other was missing. sv.keymap had no dead acute or dead diaeresis on its top two rows and no one-half or currency sign on shift. fi.keymap had no euro sign on alt-gr 4 and no micro sign on alt-gr m. Both carry all six now, which makes the two files identical.
