Urgent repair for Linux update rollback and lost provider setup.

  • Opening the Ubuntu shortcut now joins the running OneCode before touching update startup/rollback state. A second launch cannot falsely roll a healthy updated application back to its older base.
  • Linux launcher/window identity stays associated with the existing installation. Legacy launchers are preserved as aliases, dock favourites keep their position, and unrelated applications and launch arguments are retained.
  • Recover saved browser/provider preferences when a valid backup and native logs prove that an older application reset a newer setup. Original grants return only from an untouched recovery state; later access changes remain intact. The current settings are backed up first, and later deliberate preferences are not repeatedly overwritten.
  • Existing provider connectors remain recognized after restart through their saved exact-route evidence. An update does not require deleting and re-adding an already configured connector. Credentials and connector records are not rotated.

Linux needs one complete package update because the repaired bootstrap belongs to the immutable runtime. AppImage installations can download it through the built-in updater; full DEB/native replacement remains package-manager-owned. Windows retains its compatible application-capsule path against the verified 0.5.9 base.

Validation includes 265 focused checks across 16 suites plus a real Electron multi-process locking check. Recovery also passed against a private copy of the reported Linux setup, restoring Brave/Claude while preserving current folder grants, permissions and tunnel settings. Production Ubuntu was not modified, updated or restarted; installation and verification there remain manual as requested.

Built from frozen source e52fb29f7344d77ccfaa619c32a4b0619656b243: Linux build, Windows build. Both packaged smoke checks and canonical checksum finalization passed. Both application archives and every entry were independently checked against the published manifests.
