The first public release of FinvestLens — a native Apple double-entry accounting
app for macOS, iPadOS and iOS, published by Hello Tham.

What's in it

Every planned phase is complete: the accounting engine, the native document with
NAS-safe locking, GnuCash import and export, the register and chart of accounts,
everyday finance, investments and multi-currency, sync and dashboard, Apple
Intelligence, small-business features, extended statement import, the planning
layer, and Ledger interchange with the finlens command line.

  • Double-entry that agrees with GnuCash. Exercised against a real book of
46,553 transactions, 559 accounts and 102,706 prices, compared side by side
with GnuCash 5.16 — matching to the cent on net worth, every account subtree,
register running balances, the balance sheet and the investment reports.
  • Your book is a file you own. One SQLite document on local disk, iCloud
Drive or a NAS. No account, no server, nothing uploaded.
  • Import from anywhere. CSV, QIF, OFX/QFX, SWIFT MT940/MT942 and ISO 20022
CAMT.053, with duplicate detection and cross-account transfer completion.
  • Apple Intelligence on device. PDF statements, dividend notices and
invoices read on your Mac and turned into transactions to review.
  • Eight languages. English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese,
    Brazilian Portuguese and Simplified Chinese.
  • Never locked in. GnuCash XML round-trips byte-identically, Ledger journals
read and write, and finlens queries the book read-only from the shell.

Installing

Open the disk image and drag FinvestLens to Applications. Requires macOS 26 or
later, on Apple silicon or Intel.

Coming from GnuCash? File ▸ Import ▸ GnuCash… brings across accounts,
transactions, prices, schedules and business records.

Signed and notarized
