Align shapes in sketch tool #836

@lukyanenkomax thank you, a good point. The circles also drift apart for a second reason: a typed width or height keeps the outline's top left corner where it is, so a circle you resize no longer sits on the other one's middle. In the next release the sketch has Align: select two or more outlines (a box over them, or Shift and a click), and the bar that appears gets Align left, Centre left and right, Align right, Align top, Centre top and bottom and Align bottom. Each outline moves as a whole and keeps its shape, so for your ring you select both circles and centre them both ways. A locked outline stays where it is and the others line up on it. I tried it with a rectangle moved off a circle: after centring both ways they lie exactly on each other. Until then, for a plain ring the 3D editor has the Tube shape with its wall thickness, or two cylinders, the smaller one as a hole, centred with Align and grouped. |
Uh oh!

I'm trying to create a ring shape in sketch mode by drawing two concentric circles. After placing and scaling both circles, the only way to align their centers is manually. It would be helpful to have an Align tool (similar to the one in 3D mode) available directly within the sketch mode
