Windows XP

⚠️ Microsoft has suspended support for Windows XP. There will be no further security updates. Still running it on a machine connected to the internet is done on your own risk. You have been warned.

If you still want to run OpenRA on Windows XP, please follow this guide:

You need to install .NET 4 on Windows XP to get it running.

upcoming version

.NET 4.5 and later versions are not supported on Windows XP. You will need to make use of Mono >= 3.4.0 for OpenRA to work.

1. Download 📦 Mono-3.10.0.zip (warning: this file is hosted by a third party, so we cannot verify its safety)
2. Extract the .ZIP file (We assume you do so to drive C:\)
3. Press the Windows key, then execute and type in cmd.exe and hit Enter.
4. Type cd %ProgramFiles\OpenRA then C:\Mono-3.10.0\bin\mono.exe OpenRA.Game.exe
