• More global shortcuts (Settings → Shortcuts), all unset until you record them: play / pause, previous, next, open the Tools page, open AI Usage, Keep Awake on / off, new sticky note, show / hide the desktop otter.
• Record any key: keys that don't type text (F1–F12, arrows, Home, End, Page Up / Down) work on their own or with Shift; a letter, digit or Space on its own asks first, because it would be taken from every app.
• Press again to close: the shortcuts that open a page (Clipboard search, Tray, Tools, AI Usage) close the panel when that page is already showing.
• AirPods battery: the left bud, right bud and case each get their system icon with a battery ring.

Changed

• Less explanatory text across the notch, the drop zone, the clipboard, the tools page and Settings; each Settings page keeps its otter banner without the extra sentence.
• Clipboard search highlights the first match; image and screenshot rows show a thumbnail, and so do image files in search results.
• The page capsule no longer shows how many items the tray holds.
• Tool cards dim while a conversion runs; the 1×1 music card is the cover with a play / pause button.
• The window-arrangement preview looks like macOS tiling instead of blue; the island style uses the same dark glass as the notch.

• 更多全局快捷键（设置 → 快捷键），都要自己录了才生效：播放 / 暂停、上一首、下一首、打开工具页、打开 AI 用量、保持唤醒开 / 关、新建便利贴、放出 / 收回桌面海獭。
• 任意按键都能录：不用来打字的键（F1–F12、方向键、Home、End、PageUp / PageDown）可以单独用或配 Shift；单独用字母、数字或空格会先问一下，因为它会在所有应用里被截走。
• 再按一次就关：打开某一页的快捷键（剪贴板搜索、托盘、工具、AI 用量），在那一页已经打开时再按，面板收起。
• AirPods 电量：左耳、右耳、充电盒各一个系统图标，外面一圈电量环。

改进

• 刘海、投放区、剪贴板、工具页和设置里去掉了大量说明文字；设置每页保留海獭横幅，去掉多余的说明句。

Fixed

• Lyrics for more songs: when lrclib.net has no synced lyrics or is busy, Rakko now asks NetEase Cloud Music (title and artist only). Busy answers from lrclib.net are retried, titles with a suffix such as (Live) are also searched without it, and a failed lookup tries again after 30 seconds instead of giving up on the song.
• Dragging an item out of the tray onto the desktop otter no longer adds it again or plays the catch.
• The panel no longer closes in the middle of the otter's catch when you click outside it or move the pointer away.
• A note file watch that fails to start no longer leaks file descriptors.

Changed

• Agent Completion notices: each detected tool has its own switch, and Rakko re-reads a tool's config file before writing it, so it never overwrites a change made at the same moment.

• Home page: the first button in the page capsule. While music plays it is the player — cover, progress, controls, and a lyrics button that opens synced lyrics beside it (from lrclib.net, only when you open it). With nothing playing, the otter keeps you company with today's date and what is going on: the newest agent turn, the tray, keep-awake time or your tightest AI quota.
• Search your Mac from the notch: the search bar finds tray items, clipboard, sticky notes, apps, folders and files (Spotlight). Two-line results with the kind on the right; ⏎ opens, ⌘⏎ reveals in Finder.
• The notch, redesigned: click the notch for the search bar; pages hang under a capsule and grow out of the notch.
• Sea otter: a desktop otter that catches files into the tray, and an otter in the Put in Tray row that catches what you drop.
• Sticky notes, also found by search.
• Agent completion notices (off by default): when Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Copilot CLI, Devin, Gemini CLI, Antigravity, opencode, omp, pi, Grok, Qwen Code, Droid, Kiro or Auggie finishes a turn, a card under the notch shows the tool's mark, the task and 完成. Turning it on adds hook entries to the detected tools' own config files; turning it off removes them. Notices only — no approvals, no replies.
• AI usage settings: show used or left, per-plan switches for Claude Code and Codex with their logos, and this Mac's usage summed across local AI tools.

Changed

• Now playing is always on; its switch is gone. The tools page's music card opens the Home page.
• Removed the overview page, the welcome card and the Panel Appearance setting.
• Fixes: dragging a file out of the notch and back in reopens it; a bright edge on dark wallpapers; window arrangement races; the card catalog's hover covering two cards.

Upgrading from ShelfU

• Updating inside ShelfU: once the update is installed, open ShelfU from Applications. It renames itself to Rakko.app and copies your items from ~/Library/Application Support/ShelfU/ to ~/Library/Application Support/Rakko/; the old folder stays as a backup.
• Installing from Rakko.dmg: quit ShelfU and move ShelfU.app to the Trash first.
• macOS treats Rakko as a new app: turn its system permissions (Full Disk Access, Accessibility, Screen Recording) and Open at Login on again.

License

• Source code is now under the Apache License 2.0. The Rakko name, icons and sea otter character are reserved (see TRADEMARKS.md). Versions up to 1.12.1 remain MIT.

• Settings → Appearance → Panel Appearance offers Follow System, Black and Translucent.
• A new install's Tools page fits exactly two rows with no scrolling: music 2 × 2, Keep Awake and AI Usage at 1 × 1, Capture Text and Zip.
• The AI Usage card at 1 × 1 draws one double ring for the tool with the least left; hover it for the numbers.
• The Overview's now-playing row adds Previous.
• The Dynamic Island can be dragged anywhere on the screen, and the open panel moves with it when you hold a blank part of its top row.

Changes

• Follow System is black in Dark Mode and translucent in Light Mode; Reduce Transparency draws it black too, and the island style is always black.
• Every page switch is one fade: the page you leave fades out while the new page fades in.
• Only action cards that cannot take a file being dragged over the panel dim; widgets and cards pinned to the desktop stay as they are.
• The Tray page scrolls without an edge blur. The Clipboard list keeps it.
• The Now Playing page no longer repeats the music capsule in its top row.
• The pointer over the open panel is always the plain arrow.

Fixes

• Clicking the AI Usage icon in the top row no longer pushes the pointer away and cancels the click.

ShelfU 1.12.0

ShelfU now opens with one click. 现在点一下刘海，就能看到该看的东西。

New

• Overview: One click on the notch opens a single page. The five newest Tray items sit on the right and drag straight out; one line below says what matters now — a job still running with Cancel, an error, a finished job, an update, the track that is playing, something you copied in the last two minutes, or the Clipboard count. The otter sits on the left.
• Now Playing page: Click the track line in the Overview for the full player — previous, play-pause and next, a progress bar you drag to skip, and the volume bar for your output device.
• Page icons now sit at the left of the top row: Overview, Tray, Clipboard, Tools, and AI Usage when you turn it on. Opening a page grows the same panel down, 440 × 250.
• One Tools page: The widgets now live beside the action cards on the Tools page. Long-press to edit: reorder, resize, remove, add from the catalogue, or drag one out to keep it on the desktop.
• New Settings window: A sidebar with General, Appearance, Tray, Clipboard, AI Usage, Shortcuts, System Permissions and About. The footer shows the permission state, and General has Check Now for updates.
• Shortcuts you can change: Show / Hide, Clipboard Search and Capture Text, plus Open Tray (not set by default). Click a row, press the new keys; Delete clears it, Esc cancels, and a combination in use keeps the previous one.
• Welcome card: A first-run card with a real practice drop. Drag a file onto the notch to try it, or skip it.

Changes

• The panel follows the system: pure black in Dark Mode, dark frosted glass in Light Mode. Reduce Transparency is always pure black; Reduce Motion keeps only the fades.
• After an update, the first opening explains what is new, once per version. About → What's New shows it again.
• When a new version is downloaded, the Overview says "Update ready · Restart to finish" with a Restart button.
• Esc steps back one level: a page returns to the Overview, the Overview folds into the notch.
• If you used the Home page, its widgets move into the Tools page at the sizes they had.
• Secondary text — times, counts and captions — is brighter and easier to read on black.

• Language: Settings → General → Language: Follow System (the default), 简体中文 or English. Follow System shows Chinese when your Mac's first language is Chinese and English otherwise. The switch takes effect at once, no restart.
• Dates and times follow your Mac's region and 12/24-hour setting.
• The Services menu item reads "Add to ShelfU" on English systems.
• Built on MyGo 0.7.1 and Go 1.27.3 (includes a Go security fix).

• After an update is installed, it takes effect when you choose Restart ShelfU to Finish Updating or quit ShelfU.

ShelfU is now a notch tool for the Mac: live activities, a Dynamic Island style, window snapping from the notch, one switch for system permissions, and Claude Code quotas read from Claude Code itself.

New

• Live activities: plugging in the charger, full and low battery, Bluetooth headphones (with AirPods levels when macOS reports them) and browser downloads show in the notch. Several downloads that finish together share one notice; a click puts them all on the tray. Each one can be turned off in Settings → 实时活动.
• Dynamic Island style: on a display without a notch ShelfU floats as a small black island; on a MacBook choose it in Settings → General → 刘海样式. Hold the island and drag it anywhere — it stays where you let go on each display; 恢复默认位置 brings it back.
• Arrange windows from the notch: drag a window by its title bar toward the notch and drop it on left half, full, right half or a third. Needs Accessibility.
• One switch for system permissions: Settings → 系统权限 walks you through Full Disk Access, Accessibility and Screen Recording. With Full Disk Access, dragging files in from Downloads, Desktop, Documents or iCloud Drive no longer asks for access.
• AI usage: the Claude Code quota now comes from your installed Claude Code (/usage), so it matches what Claude Code shows, including per-model weekly limits. Quotas show what is used by default; switch to what is left in Settings → AI 用量 → 额度显示. The last reading is kept across restarts, and an account limit is shown as it is.
• A gear for Settings and a new tray glyph.

• AI 用量： Claude Code 的额度改为运行你装好的 Claude Code 的 /usage 读取，和 Claude Code 显示的一致，也包括按模型的每周额度。额度默认显示「已用」，可在 设置… → AI 用量 →「额度显示」改成「剩余」。上次的结果跨重启保留；额度用完会直接显示。
• 设置按钮换成齿轮，托盘换了新图标。
