Compare 1.0.5 — Crafting Stat Preview

Ready-to-install build for 7 Days to Die v3.x. Extract the Compare folder into
.../7 Days To Die/Mods/ and disable EAC. No compilation needed.

Changed in 1.0.5

  • The archive no longer contains 0Harmony.dll. 7 Days to Die ships Harmony itself
(<Mods>/0_TFP_Harmony/, Harmony 2.13); an extra copy inside a mod folder caused startup errors
on some setups. If you installed 1.0.4 or older, please delete Mods/Compare/0Harmony.dll —
the mod works without it (it is compiled against the Harmony library the game provides).
  • No functional changes to the comparison itself.

Features

  • Fourth tab in the crafting window: held vs. crafted stats side by side
  • Weapons and tools of the display groups groupMelee and groupRanged
  • The held item is evaluated with its combine stats and installed weapon mods; the craft column
shows the unmodified item of the selected crafting quality
  • Ammo-aware: uses the currently selected ammo type, warns on different ammo types and marks
    ammo-dependent values with *
  • Percentage improvement/drop on the crafting page, computed from the rounded vanilla values
(13 vs 13 is always 0 %); "lower is better" stats keep the mathematical sign with inverted
    colour logic
  • Data-driven — no hard-coded vanilla or overhaul weapons; custom weapons reuse registered vanilla
display types and ammo is read from MagazineItemNames
  • Refreshes immediately when you change the craftable quality level

Contents

Compare.dll, ModInfo.xml, Config/ (XUi modlet) — 3 runtime files, no bundled Harmony
