Release list
_k0t1k 0.2.0
What's new
- Welcome on first start. A three-step welcome picks the interface language (preselected from the system), adds an account (Microsoft, ely.by or an offline nickname) and gets the first instance going. Existing users never see it.
- Get-started block in an empty library. A big "Create instance" button, the most downloaded Modrinth modpacks with one-click install, import from other launchers and from .mrpack/.zip files.
- Import from Prism Launcher, MultiMC and friends. Installed instances are found in the standard folders, and "Find automatically" searches your disks for Prism, PolyMC, MultiMC, UltimMC and Fjord, portable installs included. An instance is copied with its mods, worlds and settings; the original is never touched. When the mods target another loader than the instance declares, the launcher asks which one to use.
- Interface font. Use any font installed on your computer, picked from a searchable list that previews each font.
- Getting-started checklist and a short instance tour for new users.
- Playing without an account opens a sign-in dialog instead of failing, and the game starts once an account is added.
- Progress shows the time left, and the first launch explains why it takes longer.
- Empty worlds, servers, mods, resource packs and shaders tabs offer the matching action right there.
_k0t1k 0.1.6
What's new
- Update prompt at startup. The launcher checks GitHub every time it starts and offers a newer version in a dialog: update now, later, or skip that version.
- Overlay 0.3.0 built in. Settings tab, interface scale, a movable HUD, notification placement and lifetime, a Chrome-like browser with tabs, bookmarks and built-in ad/tracker blocking, OBS-like recording with a replay buffer and animated WebP, and more. See the overlay release.
- The overlay follows the launcher. It gets the launcher's interface zoom and its theme colours (built-in and custom themes, updated live while a game runs).

New interface
- Steam-like mode is now the default: instances listed by group on the left, and each instance gets a page with the official art and title-screen panorama of its Minecraft version. The classic interface is still available in Settings, Appearance, but it is legacy and no longer developed.
- The play bar and tabs stay pinned at the top while you scroll an instance page; the logs fill the window.
- Accounts have their own page, opened from the account name in the top bar.
In-game overlay
- Ships with the launcher: chat history and filters, notes, a performance HUD, mods and profile tabs, music controls, a replay buffer and a real browser tab.
- Works on Minecraft 1.8 and newer, including LWJGL 2 versions and the Vulkan renderer of 26.x.
Content
- Game options tab: presets, copying options from another instance, and a raw editor for options.txt.
- Mod compatibility check: mods made for another version or loader, missing dependencies and Modrinth data, with a warning before launch and the reason for each flag.
- Resource packs: detect and fix packs with an extra top folder, convert and repair folder packs, compress a folder pack to zip.
- Multi-select, rectangle selection and bulk actions in mods, packs, worlds, servers, screenshots and the library; list and tiles views.
- Hand-added files are identified and checked for updates automatically.
- A mod loader can be turned off without removing it.
Fixes
- One crash window lists every crashed session instead of a queue of windows.
- The stop menu for several running copies no longer wraps and stays open while you stop them one by one.
- Server ping follows SRV records; dependencies install into the right folder; narrow windows no longer hide mod and world names; context menus stay inside the window.
