dsh-sound-notify v0.1.1
Fixes third-party plugin manager integration. Install this version instead of 0.1.0.
Fixed
- No longer shown under “Built-in plugin configuration”. Third-party plugins must not register the
plugins.itemslot. The settings page now registersplugins.bundle.configfor the package, so it appears on Plugins → Installed plugins → dsh-sound-notify, beside the package's uninstall/update controls. - Survives desktop app updates, and can be uninstalled/updated. 0.1.0 told users to copy files into the desktop profile by hand; that install was not recorded in the profile manifest, so the updater pruned it and the Plugins page could not manage it. Desktop installs now use the app's managed installer (Plugins → Add plugin) or the
dsh plugin addpath, which records the package independenciesanddsh.profile.bundles. - Added
scripts/migrate-desktop-legacy-install.shto clean up a 0.1.0 manual install (keeps saved switch values) before reinstalling through the app.
Install
# CLI-managed profiles (web / headless / custom)
dsh plugin --profile web add https://github.com/hifengzy/dsh-sound-notify/releases/latest/download/dsh-sound-notify.tgz
# Desktop app: sidebar Plugins → Add plugin → paste
# https://github.com/hifengzy/dsh-sound-notifyAlso listed in the DSH plugin catalog (awesome-dsh-plugin, category notify).
Verified
- DSH desktop runtime 0.2.1-rc.3: managed install from GitHub, package listed under Installed plugins, package page renders the three switches with the uninstall control;
.itembuilt-in list contains only official plugins. - Simulated profile reinstall (
pnpm install --frozen-lockfile) keeps the managed package. - A real turn on 0.2.1-rc.3 still plays
success.aac; 31 unit tests and the packaging self-check pass; CI install-smoke passes against the latest published DSH.

dsh-sound-notify v0.1.0
Sound notifications for DeepSeek Harness (DSH). When a turn completes, fails, or stops to wait for you, the DSH host process plays a short sound on the machine running DSH.
Highlights
- Three independent switches (completed / failed / waiting), all on by default, applied live.
- DSH 0.2.x: Settings → Plugins card over the plugin's volatile
Config; DSH 0.1.x falls back to a dedicated settings section. - Noise control: subagent sessions stay silent, a 500 ms idle grace period cancels alerts for queued input and automatic continuations, one failure sound per turn, 700 ms per-category cooldown.
- Host-side playback with
afplay(macOS) /paplay(Linux), so background tabs still ring. DSH_SOUND_NOTIFY_LOGdiagnostic log for hosts without a terminal.
