  • The daemon no longer moves a group's canvas folders. It goes back to reading canvas folders without writing to them, since the Mac app only shows a canvas's folder.

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.

  • Groups can now move their canvases to another project. The group's canvas folder, with every canvas in it, goes to the new project, and the group's published links keep the same address at their new location.
  • The move never writes over anything already in the destination, and only moves real folders. Shared boards and each session's own folder stay where they are.

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.

  • Long prompts no longer fail with "Not sent · command too long". Prompts of any length, including a sandbox's Build prompt or a prompt with the Sandbox chip on a sandbox with many items, now reach the agent. Long single lines are also delivered reliably.

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.

  • Claude Code sessions now show what their context is made up of and where it will compact. The daemon measures each session's folder without sending a prompt, so this doesn't use up any of your usage.

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.

  • You can now add a Library plan to other projects, and removing it from a project works the same way. The daemon remembers each addition and shows which groups a plan has been added to.

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.

  • Continuing a conversation now picks up the original conversation itself instead of making a copy, so the agent keeps its history where it left off. If the agent already has that conversation open outside Grenade, Grenade still makes a copy.
  • For Codex, Grenade now tells when a conversation is open in another window, so it knows whether it can safely continue the original.
  • Codex sessions whose hooks were never trusted can now be matched to their saved conversation by folder and start time.
  • Ended sessions stay in the list after Grenade restarts, and each conversation shows the ended session it was last in.

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.

  • You can now restart an ended session in its place. Claude Code and Codex sessions whose conversation is still on the computer pick up that conversation again. Other sessions, including plain shells, start fresh.
  • A restarted session keeps its name, title, group, order, and ID, so it looks the same in your session list.
  • If you send a prompt right after restarting, it waits until the agent shows its prompt box before it is sent.
  • If a session's terminal is still running in tmux, restarting it reconnects you to that running session instead of starting a new one.

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.

  • A daemon run from a source checkout now reports the version it was built as, not the version a git pull brought in. After pulling, run npm run build so the reported version matches the code that's running.
  • A pull without a rebuild no longer leaves the daemon claiming a new version while running old code, which had caused sessions to be wrongly marked ended and New Session to fail with "tmux session ... already exists."

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.

  • Starting a new session in a project whose earlier session had ended in the same folder no longer fails with "no live session in group." It now starts normally.

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.

  • To-do lists now belong to the project, the folder a group's sessions share. Every session in that project shows the same list and count, and the list stays after the sessions end.
  • A new session in the same folder picks up the project's existing to-do list.
  • Moving a session to another project shows that project's list. If a group's shared folder changes, the group's list moves with it.
  • Your existing to-do lists are merged into their projects once, on upgrade. Each new to-do now records the session that added it.

Install: brew install holdgrenade/tap/grenade or npm install -g @holdgrenade/cli, then grenade setup.
