Fixed

  • The MCP endpoint answers a batch request with an error instead of a 500. A body that parsed to anything other than a single JSON object, such as a JSON-RPC batch array, 42, "x" or null, raised a TypeError and came back as a 500. These bodies now get a 400 with a JSON-RPC -32600 Invalid Request error, before any authentication or tool call runs. initialize now advertises protocol 2025-06-18, the version of the MCP spec that dropped batching, so clients know not to send batches.
