CanvasLink 1.0 brings the CanvasTTY window to an Android phone or tablet over a private LAN. Pair in CanvasTTY 1.8.3 or newer, then use touch, terminal keyboard input, paste and shortcuts from the phone.

The original integration is by @teo-nex in #166. This release preserves the author's commits and adds maintainer LAN/VPN routing, bounded connection recovery, a CanvasTTY Sage mobile interface and non-selectable control labels.

Choose the installer for your existing installation:

  • CanvasLink-1.0.0.apk — normal application, io.nexcore.canvaslink.
  • CanvasLink-1.0.0-dev.apk — update for the existing CanvasLink DEV application, io.nexcore.canvaslink.dev.

Both APKs use the same persistent owner-held signing key. Earlier alpha APKs signed with a different key cannot be updated in place; preserve their data and stop on signing conflicts. The DEV package can coexist with the old alpha.

Desktop access is off at startup. Both devices need a reachable private LAN; a VPN must allow local traffic. Strict VPN lockdown cannot be overridden by the app. Pairing authorizes the whole CanvasTTY window, including visible terminal and Settings content. Input is not replayed after an uncertain delivery.

The attached provenance file records source, checksums and the public signer fingerprint. The private key is not distributed. The LAN/VPN path has a successful Linux/Android user report; complete cross-platform and VPN/WebView coverage is not claimed.
