Important

From v0.5.3 the AgentMemory server is licensed under the Apache License 2.0 instead of the Business Source License 1.1. You may use, modify and redistribute it for any purpose, including in commercial products and hosted services, with no commercial license needed. The amem client and the plugins stay MIT. v0.4.0 to v0.5.2 keep the license they were released with (COMMERCIAL.md).

Before you upgrade

The code is the same as v0.5.2: no schema migration, and no configuration or API change.

  • From v0.5.2: nothing to migrate, and going back to v0.5.2 needs no backup.
  • From v0.5.1 or earlier: read the v0.5.2 release and UPGRADE → To 0.5.2 first. Its schema migration 8 runs, and going back to v0.5.1 means restoring the backup.

amem and the client plugins have not changed since v0.5.2 apart from their version number (REMOTE-CLIENTS §4).

Changed

  • License: Apache License 2.0 for the server (#91). The repository now has a NOTICE file, and COMMERCIAL.md sums up the license of each version.
  • The Panel server uses @hono/node-server 2.1.3 (#90).
