macOS arm64 and Linux x86_64, for Android, iOS simulators (the iOS agent was built with Xcode 27.0), Chrome and Firefox.

  • Android: taps are a finger on the touchscreen. Speedrun's touch events had no tool type (Android's "unknown") and no device. Compose turns those into an unknown pointer, and some apps' Compose text fields never took the focus from them, while their buttons did (#8). Taps, swipes and drags are now finger touches from the touchscreen, as adb shell input and UiAutomator send them.
  • Android, React Native: a tap waits for a screen that is still closing over its element. Between the steps of a navigation, JavaScript can pause, and the screen settled in that pause while the closing screen still took the touches (#20).
    • When another screen is drawn over the element, the tap waits for it to go, 2 s at most.
    • When the first read after a step is much slower than usual, Speedrun settles and reads again before acting on it: the app is still at work.
    • The JavaScript wait from v0.4.2 now follows every JavaScript thread in the app, such as the two an Expo dev client runs.
    • With SPEEDRUN_DEBUG=1, each step says how much JavaScript ran during it (JavaScript ran N ms).

To update: speedrun update, or brew upgrade speedrun if you installed with Homebrew.
