BetaFPV ArtLynk Support

Hello,
does iNav support BetaFPV VTXs like P1 Air Unit HD VTX? It lists Betaflight as compatible, but i could not find any reliable Info about iNav.

I wouldn't expect any issue with the VTX.
The VTX pretty much just passes along whatever comes from the FC, sending it to the VRX.

The VRX then passes it along to the goggle.

The question becomes whether the goggle is capable of displaying all of the information INAV can provide. In other words, can the user load a font? Or is it locked down to only the much more limited set of information that Betaflight provides?

At first glance, I don't see anything in the manual for BetaFPV goggles about uploading a font. So it may be restricted to only the minimal symbols Betaflight has. In that case, you could see the same info from INAV that you could see from Betaflight. Everything else would show up as question marks or whatever.

If it doesn't let you load a font, you'd have the most basic stuff like battery voltage, but not things like glide ratio, tracking other aircraft via adsb, etc that doesn't exist in Betaflight.

Thanks for the answer. I just realized my question was not good enough. I explictly meant displaying information from INAV (telemetry etc). The VTX transmitting video without INAV is of course not what i meant.

They claim it uses MSP:
Featuring a standard SH1.0 6-pin port and MSP communication protocol for OSD, the P1 Air Unit seamlessly supports Betaflight and BETAFPV flight controllers.

Yes, Betaflight and INAV use MSP Displayport.
When either system sends this MSP message:

[BatterySymbol] 3 . 5 6 V

It will probably display fine.

When INAV sends this MSP message:

1 0 0 [mW Symbol]

If it doesn't let you upload a font with the milliwatt symbol, you'll end up with “100?“

If it doesn't let you upload a font, you can choose "BFcompat" mode, which skips all the stuff that doesn't exist in Betaflight.

All of this applies only if the goggle isn't capable of having the font updated.
