2016 annual preservation edition

Choose a tag to compare

@ianrastall ianrastall released this 22 Oct 10:32

Source-preservation edition: 366 dates and 5,233 event assertions.

SQLite is authoritative; Markdown provides the complete readable chronology.
Both preserve original source wording and errors. Exact daily files, pinned
Wikipedia payloads/metadata and prior extraction candidates are embedded
losslessly in SQLite with hashes and a retirement manifest.

The 26 originally uncited assertions have separate editorial evidence.
Full-event reviews: 11 complete, 15 partial. Partial accounts disclose unchecked
clauses, date conventions and source errors. The prior Afghanistan review is
preserved unchanged. Independent checking of every event is incomplete.

This edition verifies source preservation, not exhaustive coverage, impartiality
or factual accuracy. Publisher articles are linked rather than reproduced.
PDF production is separate. Download both annual files and check SHA256SUMS.

Source-preservation edition: 365 dates and 4,939 event assertions.

SQLite is authoritative; Markdown is the complete readable chronology.
Exact daily files, pinned Wikipedia payloads/metadata and prior extraction
candidates are embedded losslessly with hashes and a retirement manifest.
Original source wording, hierarchy and errors remain unchanged.

The 30 originally uncited assertions have separate editorial evidence:
12 full-event reviews complete and 18 partial. Superseded review records and
the explicit prepublication migrations remain embedded unchanged.
Independent checking of every event is incomplete.

A malformed June 12 template parameter contains further source bullets,
preserved as exact unclassified evidence rather than invented classified
assertions. The complete source fragment and handling note remain available.
All four topic-header citations appear in a separate Markdown appendix.

This edition verifies preservation, not exhaustive coverage, impartiality or
factual accuracy. Publisher articles are linked rather than reproduced.

assertions. Its structured compatibility projection exactly matches the saved
daily seed; the historical flat parser's zero-item result remains disclosed.

2013 annual preservation edition

@ianrastall ianrastall released this 22 Oct 11:35

Source-preservation edition: 365 dates and 4,991 event assertions.

SQLite is authoritative; Markdown is its readable companion. Exact daily files,
pinned Wikipedia payloads/metadata and previous extraction candidates are
embedded losslessly with hashes and a retirement manifest. Original wording,
categories, source errors and citation-needed tags remain unchanged.

The 42 originally uncited assertions have separate editorial evidence:
17 full-event reviews complete and 25 partial. Accounts distinguish announcements
from completed events, disclose source date/number errors and leave unsupported
details explicit. Independent checking of every event remains incomplete.

Three source fragments remain unclassified: an unbulleted clinic sentence and
two continuations across HTML comments in the Lac-Megantic paragraph. Their
exact text, citation URLs and source locations remain preserved and disclosed.
The earlier Kobe evidence record and its explicit correction remain embedded.

This edition verifies preservation, not exhaustive coverage, impartiality or
factual accuracy. Publisher articles are linked rather than reproduced.

2012 annual preservation edition

Choose a tag to compare

@ianrastall ianrastall released this 22 Oct 11:57

Source-preservation edition: 366 dates and 5,790 event assertions.

SQLite is authoritative; Markdown is its readable companion. Exact daily files,
pinned Wikipedia payloads/metadata and previous extraction candidates are
embedded losslessly with hashes, a retirement manifest and Git checkpoint.
Original wording, hierarchy, source errors and reliability tags remain visible.

This edition uses annual-series-1.3 and preservation-release-1.1. Its 34 uncited
assertions are explicitly unverified, with guarded source identity and research
status recorded individually. There are no complete or partial full-event
reviews. Sixteen separately scoped observations preserve the research performed;
they do not establish full-event verification. The unsuccessful album-title
search is limited and does not establish that the source claim is false.

Scoped findings disclose, among other limits, a gold-medal versus total-medal
ranking distinction, different Thai GDP figures, and a 2013 band announcement
appearing in the original 2012 source. These findings do not rewrite the source.
An empty Science category and unmatched Nobel Prize link remain preserved and
disclosed. No unclassified source fragments remain in this extraction.

This edition verifies preservation, not exhaustive coverage, impartiality or
factual accuracy. Independent research remains incomplete. Wikipedia attribution
and CC BY-SA obligations apply; publisher articles are linked, not reproduced.

2011 annual preservation edition

@ianrastall ianrastall released this 22 Oct 16:10

Source-preservation edition: 365 dates and 7,597 event assertions.

SQLite is authoritative; Markdown is its readable companion. Exact daily files,
pinned Wikipedia payloads/metadata and prior extraction candidates are embedded
losslessly with hashes, a retirement manifest and Git checkpoint.

The extraction profile is annual-series-1.4. It uses the unchanged 1.3
publication toolchain and preservation-release-1.1 unverified-claim policy.
All 57 uncited assertions are explicitly unverified, with exact source identity
and individual disclosures recording that independent research was not performed.
There are no complete or partial full-event reviews in this edition.

Nominal topics and full assertions retain distinct roles and original nesting.
The four bare June 24 film titles remain childless topics; no release assertions
are inferred. The April 22 tornado-outbreak label remains a topic, with its
internal reference and circular-reference markup intact. Its following
unbulleted sentence is preserved as unclassified source evidence. Six other
unsupported source fragments also remain explicitly unclassified. The December
31 commented-out aircraft-sale statement is preserved as non-event material and
excluded from the 7,597 assertions and 7,579 event leaves. Original source depth
gaps, an orphan Afghanistan topic, source errors and reliability tags remain
visible; no missing parent or child is invented.

Publication verifies source preservation and replay, not exhaustive coverage,
impartiality or factual accuracy. Wikipedia attribution and CC BY-SA obligations
apply. Publisher URLs remain linked; full articles and images are not reproduced.

2010 annual preservation edition

@ianrastall ianrastall released this 22 Oct 17:27

Source-preservation edition: 365 dates and 8,069 event assertions.

SQLite is authoritative; Markdown is its readable companion. Exact daily files,
pinned Wikipedia payloads/metadata and prior extraction candidates are embedded
losslessly with hashes, a retirement manifest and Git checkpoint.

The extraction profile is annual-series-1.5, using the unchanged 1.3 publication
protocol and preservation-release-1.1 unverified-claim policy. All
63 uncited assertions have individual unverified disclosures recording that
independent research was not performed. No complete or partial full-event
review is claimed. Source adjacency of citations does not certify relevance
or corroboration; exact URL placement and continuation notices remain visible.

The October 17 source has a malformed template parameter splitting at P|5+1.
The entire tail, including 17 further source bullets and subsequent categories,
is preserved as unclassified evidence. Those bullets are not included in the
8,069 classified assertions. Two other unbulleted source fragments also remain
unclassified. Bare Philippine-election and Afghanistan labels remain orphan
topics without inferred children. Full Tehran-conclusion and constituent-country
statements retain their original nesting as assertions.

December 28 includes consecutive citation lines after the train sentence,
including a NOLA.com URL about building-code fines. Its source placement is
preserved without endorsing its relevance to the train claim.

Publication verifies preservation and deterministic replay, not exhaustive
coverage, impartiality or factual accuracy. Original source errors remain.

linked; full articles and images are not reproduced. Verify SHA256SUMS.

The January 22 empty list marker remains explicit non-event material. The
November 8 election-results statement remains an assertion with its nested
source child. The November 24 unbulleted Bad Romance sentence is preserved
as unclassified evidence; no list marker or event is invented. Two consecutive
July 9 citation-only lines remain attached according to their source placement.

Publication verifies preservation and deterministic replay, not exhaustive
coverage, impartiality or factual accuracy. Original source errors remain.
