Japanese FN (Kyoko Ohara) 975 4,960 629 6,618

Summary: The Japanese FrameNet project was launched in July 2002, with Kyoko Ohara (Keio University) as PI. Current team includes Hiroaki Sato (Senshu University) and Hiroaki Saito (Keio University) as co-PIs, as well as two annotators and two programmers. Most of the JFN annotation processes are done manually. Currently the JFN project is funded by two Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research: one is for releasing annotation on the Balanced Corpus of Contemporary Written Japanese (BCCWJ) (Apr. 2013 through Mar. 2017); the other is for building a constructicon of Japanese (Apr. 2015 through Mar. 2018). In addition to the two research programs, we started collaboration with the NINJAL Parsed Corpus of Modern Japanese (NPCMJ) project, so that JFN and NPCMJ’s Treebank (a syntactically annotated corpus) will seamlessly be linked.

Open Dutch FrameNet (Piek Vossen) 651 about 1,500 651 3,898

Summary:
We started 1 January 2017 and the first annotation round will end by May 2017. We already created tools and resources to prepare (annotation tool, Dutch Predicate Matrix (SemLink). We probably do a second round of annotation on nominalisations. The data is used to test (un)supervised acquisition and the development of a Open Dutch FrameNet linked to the Open Dutch WordNet. Project proposal will be submitted in September 2017, if accepted, we start in 2018. Team consists of 2 PostDocs and student assistants for the annotation. Also research master students are involved.

No publications yet. Probably next LREC
