First release of memmap: turn a YAML description of an MCU memory layout into a datasheet-style memory map image.

Features

  • One YAML file describes the memory (memory) and how to draw it (view), kept separate.
  • Sizes like 16K, sequential placement, auto sizes, alignment, and flash sectors.
  • Validation catches overlaps, overflow and flash sector misalignment, each with a YAML path, line and hint.
  • Zoomed detail columns, address and size labels, linear, equal or weighted scaling, and a datasheet palette.
  • SVG output, plus PNG and PDF with the raster extra (needs the system cairo library).
  • Deterministic output, and describe lists everything drawn as text or JSON, so agents and CI can check it.
  • Commands: render, check, describe, schema and guide.
