Release list
VaultLink 1.0.1
Fixes device file scanning.
AFC path arguments were sent in the wrong part of the packet, so the iPad ignored them and answered for the root directory every time. Any made-up path looked like a real folder, which sent the sweep into an endless loop of invented directories and reported hundreds of thousands of files that did not exist.
A full sweep of the media partition now completes properly: 22,441 real files in about 45 seconds over USB, instead of running until it hit an internal ceiling.
The scan also now reports how many files it actually examined, per device, alongside how many storage areas were swept, locked or unavailable.
The app is ad-hoc signed, so on first launch use right-click ▸ Open.
VaultLink 1.0
First release.
Finds, extracts and edits Fallout Shelter .sav files from a connected iPad, Finder backups, or folders on this Mac. Apple Silicon, macOS 14+.
No third-party dependencies. Talks to macOS's own usbmuxd over its unix socket and implements lockdown, TLS, installation_proxy, house_arrest and AFC directly in Swift.
- Multi-pass scan with 0–100% progress across every source
- Full-device sweep of every storage area iOS exposes, with per-area time budgets
- Extract all saves to a folder — original
.savplus readable.json - Structured and raw-JSON editing; write-back keeps a timestamped
.bak - Built-in auto-update, verified by SHA-256 and code signature
The app is ad-hoc signed, so on first launch use right-click ▸ Open.
Note: Fallout Shelter ships with iTunes File Sharing off, so iOS blocks reading its Documents folder directly over USB. Use the Finder-backup route described in the README.
