What's fixed
- 🛠️ More stable. A slow connection no longer cuts playback every few seconds: when the room waits for someone, they load a little ahead before playback resumes, everyone resumes from where they are, and their loading progress is shown in %. You can also type the room code in the Watch Together panel inside Stremio again.
- 🍎 Mac: "Port 9333 is already used" fixed. Closing the Stremio window on a Mac leaves the browser running in the background; StremioWT now simply reopens Stremio in it.
Windows hosts should update too: the host is the one who resumes the room at the right spot.

What's new
- 🎰 Movie roulette. Nobody can decide? The host spins the roulette and the whole room watches the same wheel, live. It picks movies everyone should like, based on the genres each of you watches on Stremio, and skips the ones someone already saw. Your watch history never leaves your PC: only genre preferences are shared.
- Themes: Horror, So bad it's good, 90s, Hidden gem, Under 1h40, Surprise
- Battle royale: 3 spins, then finalists are knocked out until one movie is left
- Hidden posters, a 12-second vote, one veto per person, emoji reactions
- One click and the movie starts for everyone
▶️ Everyone starts together. A new episode starts for everyone at the same moment, once all have loaded it.- ⚡ Faster video switching. The previous torrent stops downloading as soon as you switch.
- 🔧 More reliable:
- Stremio 4: the connection no longer drops every 30 seconds;
- no more false "download too slow" alerts while playback is fine;
- Linux and Mac: automatic retry after an "error when decoding";
- safer invite codes; the "same Wi-Fi only" option is gone.

What's new
- 🎬 Watch Together right inside Stremio. Stremio now opens with a Watch Together button: host, join, invite your friends and see who's there without leaving Stremio. The StremioWT window steps aside.
- 🔢 Short room codes. Your room gets an 8-character code like
K7MQ2X9F, easy to read out or type (any case, dashes optional). Invite links still work as before. - 🎨 New look, matching Stremio: dark glass cards, violet accents, icons, avatars for participants. On Windows, Linux and Mac.
- 🔄 Sync fixes, especially between Windows and Linux/Mac:
- episode and source changes are now followed reliably;
- no more pause/play loop while a friend is loading;
- the host waits for a friend whose video hasn't started yet, instead of playing alone;
- Linux: videos in HEVC (H.265) now play instead of failing with a decoding error.
- 🛟 The room survives a Stremio crash. If Stremio closes, the room stays open, your friends are told, and a Restart Stremio button brings you back in sync.
- 🐢 Slow download alert. If someone's torrent is too slow, or finds no peers at all, everyone is told and advised to pick a source with more seeds (or Real-Debrid).
- 🎞️ GIF button in the chat inside Stremio (press T).

What's new
- 🍎 Mac test version. StremioWT now runs on Mac (Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 13+), in the same rooms as Windows and Linux friends.

See the Mac guide. - 🌍 15 languages, now picked automatically from your computer's language. New: Deutsch, Italiano, Türkçe, Polski, Čeština. You can still change it in ⚙ Settings.

Stremio Watch Together 3.5.17: invite link and one-click updates
What's new
- 🔗 Invite link. The host now copies a link instead of just a code. Friends who don't have the app land on a page that detects their system, gives them the right download, and joins the room by itself as soon as they open the app. Friends who already have it click the link and go straight in. The code is still shown with a Copy code button.
- 🔄 Update in one click. From now on, when a new version is out, the button on the home screen downloads it from GitHub, checks its SHA-256 fingerprint, and restarts the app. No more going back to GitHub.
- 🪟 Stremio is always found on Windows. StremioWT now also looks where Windows says Stremio is installed. With no Stremio app at all, it opens Stremio Web in Edge instead, and explains why.
- ⏳ Fewer "Stremio not responding": it waits longer, retries once by itself, and tells you clearly if another program is using its port.
This is the last time you need to download StremioWT by hand: the next versions install from the app.

- 📖 "Import from Stremio" now works with Stremio 5 and Stremio Web. It used to find "0 watched titles" because it only knew Stremio 4's library format. Your watched movies and series are now found on Windows (Stremio 5 or 4) and on Linux.

What's new (Linux beta)
- 📖 My diary on Linux: everything you watch is logged with posters and ratings (half-stars too), with the rating window at the end of a movie, the import from your Stremio history, and the Letterboxd export. Also reachable by right-clicking the app icon → My diary.
- 👑 A Linux host always keeps host controls for now: only the host can pause, seek or change episode, and everyone follows.
Windows: no change since 3.5.14 except the version number.

What's new
- 🐧 Linux beta! Linux and Windows friends can share the same room. On Linux, StremioWT opens Stremio Web (your same account and addons) in its own browser window, and drives Stremio 4 directly if you still have it. A one-command installer sets up everything that's missing. See the Linux guide. It's a beta, so feedback is very welcome, good or bad.
- 👀 See everyone's Stremio version next to their name in the room. When versions don't open torrent links the same way (Stremio 4 vs Stremio 5), you get a short heads-up explaining what happens.
