Pulse now runs on macOS too, alongside Windows 10 and 11.

New

  • Mac version (one download for Apple Silicon and Intel Macs): the island hangs from the top of the screen around the notch, lives in the menu bar, works over full-screen apps, and opens with ⌘⌥P. Music controls work with Spotify and Apple Music.
  • Windows: search "Pulse" from the Start button to open it.
  • Your colour theme now applies from the very first frame and is saved instantly.
  • If you move Pulse to another folder, it reconnects to Claude Code by itself.

Fixed

  • Error messages no longer stay on screen; they clear after a few seconds or when you change page.
  • Project and file names show correctly whichever path style Claude Code reports.

Install

  • Windows: unzip Pulse-win-x64.zip and open Pulse.exe. If Windows says it protected your PC, choose More info, then Run anyway.
  • Mac: open Pulse-mac-universal.dmg and drag Pulse to Applications. The Mac version isn't notarized by Apple yet, so the first time macOS will block it: open System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway. Allow Pulse to control Spotify or Music when asked.
  • Then click Connect in the island to link Claude Code.

The Mac version is new and has been tested on Apple's build machines but not yet widely on real Macs. If something doesn't work, please open an issue.

Pulse asks you to agree to the updated Terms of Use once after updating.

First public release of Pulse for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).

What's in it

  • A living island at the top of your screen that follows Claude Code: current step, code being edited, permission requests you can allow or deny, and a chime when it's done
  • Music with synced lyrics, Plan (notes, reminders, calendar), Time (focus, timers, stopwatch), Launcher, Tray with a downloads watcher, Clipboard and Ask
  • Six colour themes plus custom colours

Install: unzip, open Pulse.exe, then click Connect in the island. Windows may warn that the app is unrecognised because it isn't code-signed yet: choose More info, then Run anyway.
