Calends 1.28 adds a day-by-day heatmap to yearly reports and speeds up CI and multi-architecture Docker builds.
Highlights
- Day-by-day spending. Yearly reports now include a daily net-spending heatmap, switchable to animated 3D bars. Forecast days are hatched, while net-inflow days from refunds or transfers and days with missing exchange rates are marked. The card uses the same cash basis as the yearly report and appears only in the signed-in app.
- Faster builds. CI checks run in parallel with sharded tests, and pull requests run checks only for their latest commit. Docker builds compile the app once on the build machine and copy the architecture-independent output into both runtime images, without QEMU. Self-hosting behavior is unchanged.
- Simpler quick start. The README now keeps Docker startup commands short and links to the detailed setup guide.
Fixes
No separate user-facing bug fixes are included in this release.
Upgrading
There are no configuration, data-volume or port changes, no new SQL migrations, and no read-time data conversions. Upgrade directly from 1.27.0 while keeping your existing configuration and data volume.
The release includes a standalone tarball and SHA-256 checksum for the Debian/Ubuntu installer. The same installer command installs or upgrades to the latest release.
Images
Multi-architecture images (linux/amd64, linux/arm64) are available from Docker Hub and GitHub Container Registry:
docker pull xizozhe/calends:1.28.0
docker pull ghcr.io/imetn/calends:1.28.0The 1.28 tags follow this release series; latest follows main.
