I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
The feature
In Iran, the reference date used in daily life is "Persian Calendar", which has different year start/end and months.
When sorting my photos, (It's now 75,000 of them), It's a big workload to convert their dates and organize them.
Good news: Gregorian/Persian dates can easily and reliably convert to each other with a very simple function/method (And good libraries and open source codes are already widely available on internet).
An option to use Persian calendar (of course: only during display, even only web display will be good enough) will be extremely helpful.
I don't know node.js and immich's project structure, but I'm a Java/C# dev myself. If the feature is approved, I can try to coordinate with your devs to provide and test the conversion functions
