Indx 2.0 beta 2
A search that answers questions, an agent that watches how it is used, and a console rebuilt around your datasets.
Search or ask
One search field that also answers questions. A visitor who types a name gets results, as always. A visitor who types a question gets results too, and an offer to have it answered in writing, from your own records, with the sources cited. On a catalogue, a description such as "funny space movies from the 80s" becomes filters on the list.
It runs on your own model key (OpenRouter, Anthropic or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint) and is off until you switch it on, dataset by dataset. @indxsearch/intrface 3.13 has the front end, and the guide walks through the settings. Experimental in this beta.
Observr
An agent that reads how your search is used and tells you what to do about it. Every morning it looks over each watched dataset's statistics and puts what deserves attention on the dataset's Status page: searches that found nothing, results nobody clicks, a field that should be searchable, a synonym your visitors need. Each finding comes with the change that would fix it, and a Yes carries it out. Ask it anything in the Agent panel, or press Why nothing? on a search that found nothing.
Observr is part of the Pro and Enterprise subscriptions, in early access. It sends summaries, never whole records and never who a visitor is; the guide lists exactly what.
A console around your datasets
A dataset's sections now sit in a side column, grouped as Overview, Data, Relevance, Try it and Settings, with the dataset and team switchers at the top. It works on a phone, statistics show their outline while the numbers load, and a new team starts with a short guide to its first dataset.
