- The recorder now records layer parenting: a layer's transform parent, set
to a null object or to another layer, or cleared, and a null object added
above layers, which reads as one step, Add controller "Null 1" above
Layer A, Layer B. A parent step plays onto every selected layer and finds
the parent by name in the scene; a controller step creates a new null
object above the selected layers. Creator confirmed these members on
2026-10-23; an older host without them skips the step with a note. A
parent step leaves out the position rewrite Creator makes to keep the
layer where it is on screen, because Creator makes it again on replay. - At playhead now slides a layer the macro creates along with its motion,
and says so: At playhead slid Null 1's in and out points by 149 frames,
to 149–299. A keyframe that lands past a layer's out point is noted:
keyframe at 276 lands past Null 1's out point (150). Before, a null
object added and animated by a macro kept its recorded window while its
keyframes slid past it, so it sat still. - Creator's two new layer kinds are safe to have in a scene. A null object
(a layer that only moves other layers) records and replays its own
transform, and a replay that must add one builds a real null layer when
Creator offers that, or says this scene can't create null layers —
skipped. An audio layer records its volume and its mute switch, and
nothing else: it has no position or opacity. A replay never rebuilds an
audio layer, because a recording holds no sound: it says can't re-create
an audio layer — the recording has no audio asset — skipped. - A selected audio layer is left out of a replay's targets, with the note
1 selected audio layer skipped — macros replay onto layers with a
transform. Before, it would have been counted as a shape. - A skip note for a layer kind the scene cannot create now reads this scene
can't create text layers — skipped, not text layer layers. - Built against
@lottiefiles/creator-api-types1.2.0. None of the new
members has been seen in a live Creator session yet; every call to one is
feature-detected.
