@Sanne Sorry for late reply.

The local and Spring simple tutorials work just like the rest of simple tutorials call mvn package exec:exec to run it.

The one that's slightly different is the Wildfly one, which requires deployment and then using curl to access a series of endpoints which act as steps. The wildfly tutorial has tutorial specific info at the top.
