I don't really know what's the problem here but something is wrong with the conversions.
I've spent some time today trying to understand the different ways of casting in C++ but still I wasn't able to track down the problem in this code. As I already mention [1], Chromium is mixing the headers of the third-party Mesa with the Khronos. In particular, I suspect that the following snip of code is causing the segfault in my system:

if I understood correctly there's a bit-level conversion of intptr_t to void* here (g_native_display is defined as void*, coming from Mesa, which is wrong) and somewhere down in my Mesa's implementation the segfault happens [2]. As I said I'd like to understand correctly the problem but I couldn't and, in the mean time, I rather revert these patches and find out the real problem later with the upstream guys.
