The world needs @capacitor/navigation-bar.

I find the ability to change the color of the navigation bar to be an absolute necessity in order to implement the overall design of one's app. Unfortunately, this is not currently possible. There is one community plugin that has made this possible: https://github.com/hugotomazi/navigation-bar However, this is no longer being developed and does not support Capacitor 5.

I would be very pleased if you could offer a plugin for the navigation bar. Most of us are front-end developers and are not really familiar with Java/Swift. Otherwise, I would have just programmed it myself and shared it with the community.

what a pain, yesterday i had to remove hugotomazi/navigation-bar because there were some incompatibilities. My users have to live with the fact that the statusbar no longer matches the color of the app 😂

Thanks for your effort! But I’m not installing any more third-party Capacitor plugins. I’ve just had way too many experiences where they stop being maintained or don’t get updated for newer versions. Changing the nav bar color is such a basic thing that almost every developer needs… I really think it should just be part of the @capacitor package.
