Release list
DigiPrism 0.2 (pre-release)
DigiPrism 0.2: an effect on fxkit, with a mixer, LFOs and p-locks. A beta (pre-release).
What's new:
- MIXER on AMP: IN L, IN R (the inputs' levels on the Digitone mixer's own law: 32 is unity, 127 is +24 dB, as loud as the Digitone's own input), L PAN, R PAN, BAL, VOL, WDTH
- Two LFOs on LFO (press again for LFO 2), on the stock LFO page: its knobs, WAVE and SPH as one wave, DEST's list (only DigiPrism's controls and the mixer's; YES picks), the stock's rates
- P-locks kept in the pattern: RECORD, then hold a trig and turn any control. They are saved, copied and played with the pattern, in one track's lock table (SETUP's LOCK TRACK, T4 unless you pick another; that track should play nothing of its own)
- MIDI hands the screen to the stock UI for the MIDI tracks while DigiPrism keeps playing; its Mod Menu entry brings the page back. NO turns it off
- Presets are gone: the project keeps its controls, mixer and LFOs, and a project saved with 0.1 opens it at its defaults. The MIDI CC chart is the same
Tested on a Digitone mk1 by its author (built before the effects' rename, which changed only names); also checked in digikit's emulator on OS 1.43 and 1.44. Still a beta; not yet run on a Digitone Keys. The README has the pages, the keys, the MIDI chart and how it works.
Install
On elekloader's web page: tick DigiPrism and the + beside its Needs fxkit; the page takes the core. Or build it with elekloader from its main branch (its buffers are in the Digitone profile's bulk area, which the 0.4.0 app does not know):

DigiPrism 0.1.1 (pre-release)
DigiPrism is the new name of DigiChroma. Same code as 0.1, under its own name: the mod, its Mod Menu entry, its pages and the effects that carried another product's name are renamed. Projects saved with 0.1 load in 0.1.1. This repository was irpina/digichroma; the old address still leads here.
A beta (pre-release). 0.1 runs on a Digitone mk1, its author's, where it loads and works as expected; 0.1.1 was checked in digikit's emulator on OS 1.43 and 1.44.
An effects pedal for the Digitone mk1's audio inputs: four modules, Color (DRIVE, WARMTH, FUZZ, WAIL, SWELL), Motion (DOUBLER, VIBRATO, PHASER, TREMOLO, PITCH), Ambience (ECHOES, TAPE, SPACE, SCATTER, REVERSE) and Grit (FILTER, COMP, LO-FI, GLITCH, STATIC), in any order, with TILT, RATE, TIME, MIX and four AMOUNTs on the encoders, their secondary controls, GESTURE (knob recordings), CAPTURE (a 30-second looper and sustainer), eight presets and MIDI CCs. DIGIPRISM in core-dn1's Mod Menu (hold a track key) opens its page; while it is open it owns the audio engine (the synths are muted) and processes the inputs, and NO gives both back. With SETUP's SOURCE on DIGITONE and core-dn1 3.4 it processes everything the Digitone plays instead, and stays on after NO. Needs core-dn1 3.2.
Its MIDI CCs follow the Hologram Electronics Chroma Console's published CC chart, so a controller set up for that pedal works with it too. DigiPrism is not affiliated with Hologram Electronics and uses none of its code. The README has the pages, the keys, the MIDI chart and how it works.
Install
DigiPrism needs core-dn1 3.2 or newer and elekloader from its main branch (or elekloader's web page): its buffers are in the Digitone profile's bulk area, which the 0.4.0 app does not know.

--mod core-dn1-3.2-os1.44.elemod --mod digiprism-0.1.1-os1.44.elemod \
--out Digitone_OS1.44-digiprism.syx --version PR01With several effects mods in one build, use core-dn1 4.0 in 3.2's place: it has the RAM for them. Flash the .syx with Elektron Transfer; the stock OS file always restores the unit.

DigiChroma 0.1 (pre-release)
A pre-release. It was checked in digikit's emulator on OS 1.43 and 1.44, and its effects on test signals.
DigiChroma is an effects pedal for the Digitone mk1's two audio inputs, after the Hologram Chroma Console, as an elekloader mod for core-dn1 3.2. Hold a track key and pick DIGICHROMA in the Mod Menu. While its page is open it owns the audio engine (the synths are silent) and the screen; NO gives both back. It is not affiliated with Hologram and uses none of its code.
- Four modules, five effects each, in any of 24 orders:
- Character: DRIVE, SWEETEN, FUZZ, HOWL, SWELL
- Movement: DOUBLER, VIBRATO, PHASER, TREMOLO, PITCH
- Diffusion: CASCADE, REELS, SPACE, COLLAGE, REVERSE. SPACE is an eight-line stereo reverb at 48 kHz, and the delays and REVERSE are stereo.
- Texture: FILTER, SQUASH, CASSETTE, BROKEN, INTERFERENCE
- The Chroma Console's controls:
- TILT, RATE, TIME, MIX and the four AMOUNTs on the encoders.
- The secondary controls on page 2 (or with FUNC held).
- On page 3: the modules, their order, FILTER's style, CAPTURE's route and the input level.
- T1-T4 are the module buttons: tap for the next effect, hold to bypass.
- The pedal's switches:
- GESTURE (trig 13) records knob movements.
- CAPTURE (trig 15) is a 30-second looper, or a sustainer for short takes.
- BYPASS (trig 16) keeps the trails.
- The clock runs free, on the Digitone's tempo, or tapped.
- Eight presets are saved with the project, and the Chroma Console's MIDI CC chart works on the Digitone's auto channel.
Install
DigiChroma needs core-dn1 3.2 and elekloader from its main branch. The Digitone profile's bulk area, where DigiChroma keeps its 7 MB of buffers, is on elekloader's main branch but in no app release yet, so the 0.4.0 app refuses DigiChroma.
Take the two files for your OS version:
| OS | files |
|---|---|
| 1.43 | core-dn1-3.2.elemod, digichroma-0.1.elemod |
| 1.44 | core-dn1-3.2-os1.44.elemod, digichroma-0.1-os1.44.elemod |
python -m elekloader.patch --stock Digitone_and_Digitone_Keys_OS1.44.syx \
--mod core-dn1-3.2-os1.44.elemod --mod digichroma-0.1-os1.44.elemod \
--out Digitone_OS1.44-digichroma.syx --version CH01DigiCosm 0.1 can go in the same build; each owns the audio while its own page is open. Flash the .syx with Elektron Transfer. The README has the steps and how to get back to stock: the stock OS file always restores the unit.
Checked
In digikit's emulator, OS 1.43 and 1.44:
- A build with core-dn1 3.2 and DigiChroma passes the firmware check against stock, and every screen is identical.
- With plucked notes on the inputs and the factory pattern playing:
- the synths go silent while DigiChroma is open, and come back after NO;
- the whole render takes 40% of a block with the default chain, against stock's 57%;
- the heaviest chain tried takes at most 44%.
- The three pages, the module buttons, SETUP, GESTURE, CAPTURE and the presets all work.
- The MIDI CC chart was checked on 1.43.
On test signals, with the render compiled for a computer:
- every effect at three AMOUNTs;
- the delays' times, free and synced;
- SPACE's decay, 0.3-9.4 s;
- BYPASS with and without trails;
- the CPU guard, which bypasses the pedal if the unit runs out of time.
Not yet:
- Program changes and an expression pedal.
- Saving gestures and captures.
- SETUP's SOURCE DIGITONE, which puts the pedal on everything the Digitone plays. It needs core-dn1 3.3, which is not released; with 3.2 the row reads INPUTS ONLY.
Files
The two DigiChroma files are built from this repository's main at 73d005a, which holds the same sources as elekloader/elekloader#79 at ffe9ba4. The core files are the ones in elekloader's core-dn1-v3.2 pre-release.
