Isaac Lab 3.0 is now generally available!
Since September Early Access, we’ve added new learning workflows, expanded vision-policy deployment, introduced interactive browser demos, and addressed issues across installation, rendering, and multi-GPU training.
Try it in your browser
Explore physics and pretrained policies without installing Isaac Lab:
Command a G1 humanoid.
Watch a Franka policy open a drawer.
Experiment with MPM material behavior.
Explore the interactive demo gallery for more. These demos run locally on your CPU through WebAssembly, using simplified scenes and adapted policy playback. Use native Isaac Lab tasks for training and measured comparisons.
What’s new since EA
TorchRL integration: A new environment wrapper and PPO example bring TorchRL into Isaac Lab’s training and playback workflows. Explore the supported RL frameworks.
More training options: RSL-RL adds optional mixed-precision updates and model compilation. Both are disabled by default; compilation adds startup overhead and can change numerical results.
Simpler checkpoint loading: RSL-RL can resolve checkpoints directly from a Weights & Biases run URL or shorthand.
Expanded vision-policy export: LEAPP adds camera inputs, frame-history handling, and RGB preprocessing. Get started with policy export.
Temporal observation controls: Configure observation delay and time-ordered flattened histories.
More simulation examples: Explore MPM material studies and G1 coupling, alongside packaged demos and launch commands.
Watch the simulation showcase.
Fixes across everyday workflows
GA addresses Windows installation and Newton graph-capture stalls, restores RTX multi-GPU training with PyTorch 2.11/CUDA 13, and improves OVRTX camera handling and visualizer shutdown.
Upgrading from EA?
Custom projects may need changes to launch scripts, task configuration, camera observations, reset selectors, noise callbacks, and Stable-Baselines3 action bounds. Review the EA-to-GA upgrade guidance before migrating. Supported backend combinations remain task-specific.
