You can use simply {"file1": "text1", ...}, or even {"foo": "foo"} if you are tying to make this shorter. Up to you.

You can rewrite it with

tmp_dir.gen("dir/file", "file content modified")  # or "text1 modified"

Since everything is literals, which we have right here, it is obvious anyways.
