Mermaid diagrams now use OnePage's paper palette (Obsidian 1.15 / Pele), plus 13 new diagram color settings.
Obsidian 1.15 renders Mermaid with Pele. Pele ignores Mermaid themes and only reads CSS variables, so OnePage now owns --mermaid-* and gives diagrams the same language as the paper:
- Nodes: paper fill (one step of the secondary surface), 26% warm-ink border, 6px radius; subgraphs become the same rounded card as the Properties panel (opaque, 13px title)
- Edges: 55% text color;
==>main paths, sequencecriticalframes andnotes use the accent color - Semantic tags:
:::key / risk / warn / ok / ext / mutedmap to the accent and callout inks;extgets a dashed border,muteda fainter one - Series colors (pie / XY / git / timeline / treemap): derived from the typographic heading colors and callout inks; in light mode each is mixed with 35% paper so large fills don't feel heavy (dark mode keeps the already-light values)
New Style Settings (Colors → Mermaid Diagram Colors)
- "Custom Diagram Colors" toggle: off by default, so diagrams keep following the paper / headings / callouts; turn it on to pin the fixed palette below
- 13 color options, one per mode: node fill / subgraph fill / border / text / edges + eight series colors
- The accent and
:::tags keep following the Accent / Callout settings; the toggle does not lock them
Compatibility
- Minimum Obsidian version stays 1.14.0; diagram styling needs Obsidian 1.15+ (older Mermaid never reads these variables and simply keeps its previous look)
- Verified with
build/verify;diff:stylereports zero differences in light / dark / demo / translucent; rendered flowchart, sequence, pie, gantt, cynefin, eventmodeling and treemap with the Pele 1.8 bundled in Obsidian 1.15.0
