Classy v2.1.3

A documentation-focused release. There are no functional or API changes, so upgrading from 2.1.x is safe and requires no code changes.

Note

The major changes (the internal architecture overhaul, context and metadata support, and the new module layout) landed in v2.1.1. If you're coming from an older version, start there.

Documentation Updates

The README has been rewritten and expanded:

  • Complete API reference, covering:
    • Constructors: Classy.new and Classy.newClass.
    • Component helpers: getComponent, getComponents, callOnAllComponents, applyComponents, and emit.
    • The global registry: registerGlobal and getGloballyRegistered.
    • Classy and Applied object members, signals, and exported types.
  • Full settings reference. Every ClassyConfig option is now documented with its type and default: ClassNames, Ancestors, Predicate, Logging, RemoveTagOnCleanup, Nuke, NamingConvention, WaitForMetadata, and Context.
  • Triggers and metadata guides, explaining how Triggers map to methods through Classy.emit and how metadata is stored on instances.
  • Lifecycle notes, covering automatic Init and Destroy calls, NamingConvention, and how instances are revoked when they stop passing the config checks.
  • Refreshed examples, using ObserveApplied in place of the raw InstanceAdded signal. It also covers instances that were already applied.
  • New layout, with a centered header, badges, a navigation bar, a feature overview, installation and dependency tables, collapsible sections, and a contributing guide.
