What's changed

Fixed

  • Cron self-healing now fires on init (every request, including frontend) instead of admin_init. Scheduled syncs now survive WordPress core updates and site migrations without requiring an admin visit.
  • Removed deprecated ini_get('safe_mode') call (dropped in PHP 7.0) from AJAX sync handlers.

Improved

  • Taxonomy slug normalisation — GHL slugs use underscores; WordPress uses dashes. Category names with & can produce double-underscores in GHL (e.g. bed_covers__tonneau_toppers). The sync engine now normalises these automatically so existing WP terms match correctly instead of creating duplicates.
  • Sync tab no longer shows WordPress-origin backlog posts — only GHL-origin orphans appear there. WP-created posts belong to the Back-Sync tab.
  • Back-Sync tab now shows a warning banner that images are not pushed to LaunchLocal and that back-sync is optional.
  • Removed the standalone Category Taxonomy Slug setting field. The taxonomy slug is now set via the WP field key column in Field Mapping (e.g. showcase-category).
  • Default field map cleaned up: removed showcase_description → post_content (post type) row; default taxonomy WP key updated from category to showcase-category.
  • The showcase CPT is no longer re-registered by this plugin — MetaBox fully owns it.
  • Added a Settings quick-link to the plugin row on the Plugins screen.
