What changed
v3.3.0 brings AudioBash to Linux and hardens the transcription path.
Linux builds
- AppImage and .deb packages now ship for x64 Linux.
- Global shortcuts under Wayland — Alt+S and Alt+H register on Wayland sessions, not just X11.
Security
- Main-process batch transcription — batch cloud transcription requests run in the main process, narrowing where API keys are handled.
- Hardened IPC surface — tightened the Electron IPC boundary and shell-command quoting.
macOS
- Apple Silicon and Intel builds are Developer ID-signed and notarized — downloaded DMGs launch without the Gatekeeper "damaged" warning.
- Minimum macOS raised to 12 (Monterey).
Tooling and docs
- Added linting, formatting, and CI across the codebase.
- Documentation refresh: Linux usage, the Wayland shortcut note, and the Parakeet local-server caveat.
Test results
438 passed · 18 skipped · 0 failures across 20 test files.
