Orbit v1.1.2
Install: download Orbit-v1.1.2.dmg below (or from try-orbit.app), open it and drag Orbit into Applications. Or brew install --cask janakjobanputra/tap/orbit-calendar. Signed and notarized by Apple.
Requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later, on Apple silicon or Intel.
What's new in 1.1.2
- Runs on macOS 15 Sequoia. Orbit now works on macOS 15 and later, not just macOS 26. On macOS 26 it keeps the Liquid Glass look.
- Icon menu bar style. Show only Orbit's logo in the menu bar: Settings › Display › Menu bar › Style › Icon. macOS tints it to match a light or dark menu bar.
- Simpler Style setting. Style is now a menu, with a line saying what each style shows.
- Help in Settings. A new Help pane answers common questions: hiding macOS's own date and time, moving Orbit around the menu bar, finding it behind the notch, joining meetings, shortcuts, privacy and updates.
On 1.1 or 1.1.1? Orbit will offer this update at the bottom of the calendar, or check now in Settings › About.
Orbit v1.1.1
Install: download Orbit-v1.1.1.dmg below (or from try-orbit.app), open it and drag Orbit into Applications. Or brew install --cask janakjobanputra/tap/orbit-calendar. Requires macOS 26 or later.
What's new in 1.1.1
- Day view. See the selected day hour by hour, like Calendar's day view: all-day events on top, overlapping meetings side by side and a line at the current time. It's the default on new installs; switch between Day and Agenda in Settings › Display.
- "No events left today" once nothing else is coming up today.
- Seconds tick every second in the menu bar when your time format includes them.
- The pinned day headers and all-day events now match the rest of the calendar's background.
- The Settings preview stands out from its background with a shadow.
Orbit v1.1.0
Install: download Orbit.dmg below, open it and drag Orbit into Applications. Signed and notarized by Apple. Requires macOS 26 or later.
What's new in 1.1
- Update checks. Orbit checks GitHub once a day and tells you when a new version is out, with a Download button at the bottom of the calendar. Check by hand in Settings › About, or turn it off in Settings › General. Nothing about you or your calendar is sent.
- New icon built around the orbit-ring mark.
- Homebrew:
brew install --cask janakjobanputra/tap/orbit-calendar
Coming from 1.0? 1.0 can't check for updates, so download this one by hand. From here on Orbit will let you know.
