- Notification-triggered-overlay count telemetry in the debug panel (inferential proxy to separate genuine AOD-on time from this app's own activity).
- Debug builds now show a git-hash build identifier in the version string.
- New verifyReleaseSigning Gradle task - fails the build loudly if the release APK isn't signed with the expected certificate.
Fixed
- Resolved all lint build errors (invalid protected-permission declaration; android:tint -> app:tint).

Intelligent category and app filtering for AOD activation
First build including intelligent notification filtering. Can stick with the defaults (all/global) or choose to limit the AOD notification to notification categories and/or allow all notifications for specific apps (auto-discovered).
Also includes a variety of improvements and fixes.
OpenAODNotify - 1.0
v1.0.
Works on Pixel 8 w/ Android 16. Requires elevated permissions due to how the AOD works. Review the source if you have trust issues. I did. That's why I made this thing instead of using the closed com.jamworks aodNotify. Kudos to them for making it though...it's just the thing for an ex-Samsung user used to multi-color LED notification lights.

Planning to add more features and won't be charging for it. For now. But if I do...it will remain open as giving an app 'ACCESSIBILITY' level permissions is highly undesirable. IMO, the Google Android team needs to think about how the AOD could be used without providing such elevated permissions.
