SweetSpot 7.2
What's new
A small reliability release about tomorrow's prices.
The day-ahead auction sets tomorrow's prices shortly before 13:00 CET, but the data sources do not
all publish them at the same moment: on some days the main source is hours late for a country while
another source already has them. SweetSpot waited for the main source, so on those days you could
still see only today's prices in the evening.
- Tomorrow's prices from whichever source has them — from 14:00 CET, if the main data source
still has only today's prices, SweetSpot tries the other sources for your country in order and
uses the first one that has tomorrow's. If none has them yet, you keep the main source's prices,
and SweetSpot looks again on your next search a few minutes later. Once it has switched, it keeps
that source's prices until about midday the next day, even if the main source publishes in the
meantime. - Where it helps — wherever a country has another source with its own data, such as EnergyZero
in the Netherlands. Where every source depends on the same upstream data, there is nothing to
switch to until it is published. The other source may publish hourly rather than quarter-hourly
prices; the results screen always names the source it used.
Nothing changed in how prices are calculated or displayed — the cheapest time you are shown is
worked out exactly as before.
Thanks for using SweetSpot!

SweetSpot 7.1
What's new
This is a reliability release. When SweetSpot could not reach the electricity market, it had no
second option in 12 of the 30 countries it supports — and a recent multi-day outage at the main
data provider left users in one of them with no prices for days. That gap is now closed.
- A fallback data source in 15 more zones — Portugal, Spain, all six Italian zones, Greece,
Croatia, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia and Montenegro were each served by a single
provider, so an outage there meant no prices at all. Each of them now has a second source to
fall back on. Only two zones (Ireland and North Macedonia) are still served by one provider, as
no free public alternative is known for them. - Fewer failed price loads — two changes working together. Each source now gets noticeably
longer to answer, because the old limit was tight enough that a slow but perfectly good response
was sometimes thrown away; that removes a class of "couldn't load prices" errors which were never
really failures. At the same time the attempt as a whole is now capped, so in a zone with several
sources a run of unresponsive providers can no longer keep you waiting through one timeout after
another. Sources that fail quickly are all still tried.
Nothing changed in how prices are calculated or displayed — the cheapest time you are shown is
worked out exactly as before.

What's new
- Help & support, built in — report a problem or send feedback straight from the app. Follow the reply in an in-app conversation, get a badge when there's a new message, and track everything under "My reports" — no account and no browser needed.
- A gentler start — a short, skippable intro on first launch explains the idea in three screens (re-openable any time from Settings), and one-time tips quietly point out the less obvious controls the first time you reach them.
- "Ready by" is now a smart default — set a deadline and SweetSpot starts on the cheapest time that still finishes on time, while Earlier and Cheaper let you browse around it. The results screen is now simply "Recommended time".
- More reliable prices — an empty response from one data source now falls through to the next, disabled sources are always respected, and a few Wear OS edge cases (a frozen countdown, an unknown zone) are fixed.
- Clearer wording, in your language — a top-to-bottom pass over all 25 languages for consistent terminology and a natural, consistent level of formality throughout.
Thanks for using SweetSpot!

SweetSpot 6.6
What's new
- Total price, broken down — with the total price shown, the upcoming-prices chart now splits every bar into its parts: the market price, energy tax and your supplier's surcharge, with a colour legend. You can see at a glance how little of your bill actually changes through the day.
- Total / market switch — a quick toggle on the results screen flips between the estimated total price and the bare market price, without going into Settings.
- Price tooltip — press and hold the price chart (and slide) to read the exact price for any moment, down to the market's 15-minute resolution — with the full component breakdown when the total price is on.
- EV charging time — the results screen now shows the total charging time in the header, alongside the state-of-charge range.

What's new
- Group appliances by type — group the buttons on the home screen by appliance type (their icon), shown as stacked rows or side-by-side columns, so the programmes for one machine (e.g. dishwasher Eco/Quick/Auto) stay together under their own heading. Vehicles can still keep their own section above or below the grid.

SweetSpot 6.4
What's new
- Share your setup — copy your appliances, their order, and your EV charging settings to another phone in your household. Show a QR code to scan, or send a link — it works offline, with no account. The receiving phone opens a preview where you choose to add the shared appliances to yours, replace yours, or pick just the ones you want.

SweetSpot 6.3
What's new
- Sort and reorder your appliances — drag them into your own order, or sort automatically by most used, recently used, name, duration, or type. When a sort leaves ties, add a tie-breaker; the option appears only when it would actually change the order.
- Usage-based sorting spans your devices — "Most used" and "Recently used" count the times you tap an appliance on both your phone and your watch.
- Place your vehicles where you want — choose whether your electric vehicles are mixed in with the appliances, grouped first or last, or shown in their own section.
- Electric vehicles now show a car icon instead of the charger icon.
- Drag to reorder data sources too — the data-source priority list now uses the same drag handle as the appliance list.

SweetSpot 6.2
What's new
- Redesigned Settings — Settings is now a tidy menu of categories, each with an icon and its own screen: Appliances, EV charging, Total price, Region (country, price zone, timezone), Appearance (language, theme), and Advanced. Everything is easier to find than the previous single long list, and returning from a picker keeps your place.

SweetSpot 6.1.1
What's new
- All-in price refinements — The custom-surcharge field now shows your currency (e.g.
€/kWh), so the unit is unambiguous. Settings keeps your scroll position when you come back from a picker instead of jumping to the top. And if the total price is switched on but you haven't chosen a supplier or entered a surcharge, SweetSpot now reminds you before you leave Settings.
A small follow-up to the 6.1 all-in price feature (currently available in the Netherlands).

SweetSpot 6.1
What's new
- All-in price (Netherlands) — Optionally see the full consumer price instead of the bare market price. SweetSpot adds energy tax, your supplier's per-kWh surcharge, and VAT on top of the spot price, so the cost cards, breakdown, and chart all show what you'll actually pay. Turn it on under Total price in Settings and pick your supplier from the list — or enter your own surcharge. It's display-only: it never changes which window is cheapest, and the chart still shows an honest "you're being paid" state only when the all-in price is truly below zero.
This is the first phase of all-in pricing, currently available for the Netherlands. More countries will follow as tariff data becomes available.
